I contemplated writing this review for the past three days but then I remembered the person who was extremely unprofessional was the owner and I realized I had to share my experience. My roommates and I went to Vulnetia for lunch on Sunday, when we walked in we informed the owner it would be four of us and he said he didn't have a table for four but that he had two tables of two . My roommate asked if he could somehow join the tables because they were right next to each other(which had also just been done for a party of 12 people) his answer was no. When she proceeded to question why it couldn't be done his response was "because this is the way the restaurant is set up if you want a solution you can go to another restaurant". I was greatly disturbed by his response but agreed to have him sit us separately, one of my roommates was extremely offended and walked out. When she left I asked the waitress if I could move my chair to the other table in order to not sit alone she said it was ok. As we were eating the owner passed by and saw I had moved my seat to the other table (3 people in total in a corner table not disrupting any passageway) and he said out loud "I said no and you guys did it anyway". After this I was extremely upset and decided to finish my first course and did not bother ordering anything else because his attitude was extremely disrespectful. After paying our bill I approached him in the exit, I asked him "are you the owner" he said yes I told him I wanted to speak to him about his behavior because we were extremely offended, his response was "sorry but I told you I didn't have a table for four", I reminded him that wasn't his full response and mentioned that I was not upset about there not being a table for four, however I was upset about him telling us our solution was to go somewhere else in a very condescending tone. Instead of apologizing for his lack of professionalism he made matters worse, I told him I would not be writing a good review and his response was " Go write all the bad reviews, you are bad". I have never had such a displeasing, rude and extremely offensive encounter with any owner of a well respected business. Customer service is an essential part, if not key, to maintaining a business. So I'd suggest respecting all tourists because they are your customers, which you need in...
Read moreServer was intentionally petty and rude after we ordered because she took offense to us adding a starter to our order just moments after our main course was ordered. I get that this is a tourist town, and the 3 of us have all worked as professional servers and bar tenders in tourist towns ourselves, are not high maintenance, and know how to communicate politely to restaurant staff. During this first interaction, we ordered our main course and when she asked if we wanted anything else, we asked to add a starter. She seemed irritated that she had to pull her device out to add to the order, rolled her eyes, snatched the menu out of my hands and walked off. Two of us received our main course at the same time, our other guest had to wait an extra 10 minutes and his pasta was undercooked (not al dente, but hard and chewy). Otherwise, seafood pasta and the pizza were really good! After being repeatedly ignored (weren’t asked if we wanted a second round of drinks) and asking for the check and again waiting, we had to go inside and find another staff to let us pay. It’s a good thing that tipping isn’t customary in Italy, because in this case I would have broken my own rule and...
Read moreWe came to this place on a hot day, tired and thirsty after sightseeing. We sat outside at one of the many free tables. We decided to order a drink for each of us and one portion of roasted potatoes. After informing the waiter, he wasn’t able to say anything in English. Once we finished placing the order, he didn’t want to deal with us at all – he just kept looking around for the manager.
When the manager finally came over, he told us that we had to order one main dish per person. If we didn’t, we could go to the competition – which we did, and that’s where we spent our money.
I regret wasting my time browsing the menu at this so-called “restaurant.”
I do not...
