I had a truly comfortable and relaxing stay at Hotel Koko in Kagoshima. I stayed in a single corner room on the 11th floor—just a few steps from the elevator (left turn, super convenient!). While the room was compact, the view was absolutely incredible. From the window, I could see Sakurajima volcano by day and enjoy the sparkling cityscape and lights of the planetarium by night.
Even though it rained during my visit, the hotel’s location was unbeatable. Covered shopping arcades nearby made it easy to stroll around without worrying about the weather. I even tried a Japanese-style chiropractic massage—strong, precise, and surprisingly effective! There are also plenty of great restaurants, a Don Quijote, and shopping centers all within walking distance. Super convenient!
They also offer luggage storage before check-in and after check-out, which made exploring and dining nearby stress-free.
Best of all, within just a 10-minute walk, you can reach Terukuni Shrine and the Shiroyama Observatory, both surrounded by lush greenery and offering stunning views of Sakurajima and Kagoshima’s natural beauty. With excellent location, thoughtful service, and gorgeous scenery, this was a truly enjoyable stay. Highly...
