This was the 2nd accommodation and the higher priced one I stayed in Kyoto over the golden week period. Located relatively nearer to Kyoto station with well-paved, luggage friendly roads along the way. Room is slightly larger than the usual Japanese standards, but overall experience was somewhat more “clinical” and of lesser value.
While one can self-help to amenities like toothbrushes, razor, trash bags etc, there was no coffee/tea. Everything was via electronic ways (registration, check-in, check-out etc) and the emails spamming with automatic notifications and reminders was quite irritating.
There was usually a person stationed onsite but hard to communicate when facing issues - e.g. room description in their website stated a sofa for the higher-tier Deluxe room and we did not see one so trying to ascertain if there was wrong assignment of rooms. Used their chat function but no response over holiday. So only 1 chair available in room and we ended up having supper japanese-style (sitting on the floor 😅). The dual-use sink is also not intuitive as hard to control water flow. Dryer function in bathroom was weak.
There is a common kitchenette for use, but dont see much utensils/cutlery. 2 common washers/dryers available and great they provided detergent pods for use.
In all, maybe more suitable for longer stays...
Read moreThe hotel itself is modern and well-maintained, with clean and spacious rooms that feature all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The decor is stylish, and the facilities, including the self-check-in system, are convenient for a smooth arrival. However, it’s important to note that the location is a bit far from public transportation, which might be an inconvenience if you’re relying on buses or trains.but can go to Gojo station or bus stop for walking in 5-10 mins , the hotel offers good value for the quality of the rooms and service. The self-check-in system is efficient, and I appreciated that staff were on standby to help when needed. The hotel’s amenities were excellent, and the overall cleanliness and comfort of the room made up for the initial...
Read moreVery cozy and clean hotel in an accessible residential area from the metro. Looks and feels new. Bed is very comfortably shared by two. There is also a common pantry with a small kitchen, microwave and toaster. Very convenient for those late night 7-11 runs. Slippers, toothbrush and basic toiletries are provided. It’s true you can only check-in fr 4pm and they cannot keep your luggage for you, the shower / sink area is also a bit small those are the only downside. Overall,...
