Hotel The Point - Kyoto Station South — Hotel in Kyoto

Location was not too off from main Kyoto station. Place was clean and well maintained. It was peaceful and quiet at night. Hotel is easily found along the side road. Check in process was not smooth. While it was self-check in concept, it was not well stated in the website upon booking. Arrived at the hotel to find that there was no staff and could not check in. Had to borrow a phone to call in, which the staff send across the pin code to my email. There is also no luggage storage services before and after check in, so be aware of this! Super easy place to stay near Kyoto station. It's located in the residential area less than 5 minutes from the center of the station and near a Lawson's. So it's quiet from the buses and train sounds.

It has a separate room for bathroom and shower. It has free Wifi and amenities.

Check in is automatic and unattended so it's very easy. After you booked the hotel, they'll send you a combination code. That unlocks your key for your room.

新しい建物できれいです。

スタッフがいない（コロナ禍のためという理由）という変わったホテルです。 （多分、コロナが収束しても必要ないんじゃないかな^^;）

使い捨てのアメニティは歯ブラシのみです。 ヒゲ剃り、コームなどはありませんので準備が必要です。京都駅からホテルに行く途中にローソンがあるので、必要なものはそこで買えます。

とくに問題というわけではないんですが、あれば良いと思うのが全身鏡と化粧鏡。 浴室にしか鏡がなく風呂に入ったあとに鏡を使う場合、床が濡れているため、裸足かタオル敷くかで対応するしかありません。 ちなみにスリッパはありません。

まあ、普段から小さな鏡を持っている人もいるかも知れませんが、ホテルにあれば便利かなあと。

風呂関係でもう１つ。 浴室が大きい割に浴槽は小さく、また洗面ボウルも小さく、顔に水を浴びせる度、ボウルの外に水が飛び散ります…。

また安かったら利用するかな…。 深夜に帰ってきて朝早くに出て行くだけなんで。

あと小さな置き時計は止まってますよ...
