Not a guest but I'm one of their cleaners (currently in maternity leave) The Kamon Inn chain is fairly new here in Kyoto and I've been working with them since the beginning a little bit more than 1 and a half years ago. Most of the accommodations are newly renovated or newly built. This particular one near the station of Kyoto is a really cozy place with good access to a lot of fun activities like the Umekoji park, railway museum, Aquarium and the Toji temple where there's a really interesting market every month on the 21st! The owners and management of the company are all quite young but they're really nice, determined people always trying to improve their accommodations and doing their best in making sure the customers are cared for properly and often go out of their way to solve every problem you might have. Read moreThe only good thing about this place was the location (approx 15minutes walk from Kyoto central station) otherwise I wouldn't recommend to stay here. We paid 43,000 yen for two nights plus the city tax and there was only one single bed which was super uncomfortable so we ended up sleeping on a mattress on the floor, our backs were sore every morning. Room is tiny too. You have nowhere to move. Also the walls in this place are thin, you will hear everything,even your next door neighbours bowel movements.
