This place was neighboring the hotel we stayed at in Kyoto [Hotel Excellence] and was in walking distance to the nearby Family Mart and we are so pleased we stopped here to give it a try. I strongly recommend the Chive Garlic Ramen! It's so distinctly rich, powerfully flavorful and filling- all for a decent price and you won't regret it. If you enjoy thick chicken broth ramen, it does not get much better than this chain. Water is self-service. For those who find the kotteri too rich and the asari too light, you can ask for a "half and half," where the two broths are combined for a more balanced flavor.

If you are deciding between the fried rice and the pan-fried dumplings as a side to help fill you up, I recommend the fried rice. It pairs especially well with the thick ramen broth, and eating it with the soup spoon enhances...

We enjoyed it very much, strong pork/ chicken base soup! I have had stronger ones so this is still moderate and acceptable! Convenient, just 5 mins walk from Kyoto Station. Very local and friendly!
