Camos — Restaurant in Kyoto

Pretty bad restaurant that has nothing to do with “Italian”. I’m European so I’ve had my fair share of Italian food. I wouldn’t say that I’m a connoisseur, but I can tell a good pizza from a horrible pizza. The pizza that Camos is serving is horrible. You can get better frozen pizza from supermarkets for €2 than what’s being served here.

This restaurant also charges 550YEN per person for a table, ridiculous.

The portions are too small and the red wine came from the fridge, definitely not how it should be.

We stay in this neighborhood for a few days, came here twice.

We first came here for lunch and quite enjoy the welcoming atmosphere. The (French) staff was friendly, the hamburger was delicious (with fluffy bun), and the chips were great too (it's not so crispy, just the way I like it). And the space is cool n modern.

We stopped by the second night for beer. Sadly the local beers were sold out. But we had another Japanese beer.

Waited about 15 minutes to be served, while they served other customers who came in after us. When meals were finished, they left dirty plates on our table, while taking away plates for other customers. Servers pointed and laughed at our special needs family member for not being able to feed herself. Food was decent, felt very lazy. Atmosphere was nice, but all around poor experience.
