Location- 1 minute away from exit 1 from the ๅ็ฉๅๅ Osaka metro station, about 8-10 minutes on foot from Shin-Imamiya. These are a good option for Solo travellers who want to have their own bathroom. No frills room with a fridge and a desk big enough to work. Trains nearby can be noisy but didn't bother me at all, and you can grab ear plugs from the lobby. What I did like: soap shampoo packs etc you can grab them in the lobby and the location made it really accessible. What I didn't like: you have to pay to rent a private kettle, and the body soap/shampoo packs are all disposable and can be hard to tear apart. You should definitely borrow their shampoo set from reception. Note that room cleaning only happens 3 times a week and you have to request it the day before. Also, the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything next door and from the floor above. My next door neighbours were very courteous but the a**hole upstairs decided to drag chairs and pack their bags until 2 or 3 am in the morning and I could hear everything. This isn't the hotel's...
ย ย ย Read moreBest thing about this place is it's central location to 1) a nearby Osaka subway line AND and JR line station 2) several different food places.
Otherwise, the rooms are nice but nothing special. The AC works well and the shower has fantastic water pressure but the bed is a little too small and you can hear trains/traffic during the night. I would have rather had shampoo/body wash bottles instead of single packages because it's hard to open them.
The staff were nice and friendly. They have a fairly good understanding of English and gave decent suggestions when asked. One even helped me mail a package which was nice of them.
Overall this place was perfect for me as I needed a centralized private room on a budget. It wasn't luxury but it was exactly...
ย ย ย Read moreI enjoyed my stay at Hotel Pivot! First things first: the entrance to the hotel is on the opposite side of where google guides you. A train track blocks the passage so be mindful of this!
Hotel Pivot is located a bit from the center of Osaka, but it has great metro access - and it's located closely to three Family Marts and a big Don Quijote.
The rooms were tiny and very simply furnished, all I have to say is that the pillow I slept on was very tough and hard and didn't feel great to the neck. The mattress did the trick, but the bed was a bit on the small end. I won't have that hurt my review though, as it's on me for booking a single bed.
Thanks to the staff for the great stay, easy check-in and out, and overall thank you for the great...
