After some random Google searches we found this place during our recent Osaka trip, we came here for their authentic katsudon and were more than satisfied, truly truly happy! For 980 yens only (i.e. USD $6.86 in May 2025) you got a generous portion of juicy and tasty pork cutlet with egg over rice, plus soup and Wakayama pickles. The restaurant has about 8 counter seats only but we didn't have to wait long, could be because their main target customers are local folks and not tourists visiting Shin Sekai and Abeno Harukas 300. If only those visitors know about such a hidden gem so nearby then this place would be jam packed with people. I definitely agree with another reviewer that said this place deserved more customers, even though it may mean a longer wait time for us to get seats here next time we visit Osaka. We didn't try their beef croquettes as we were already very full, but those ordered by other people sitting next to us looked extremely good, we will make sure we save room to try that...

I would recommend this place highly. The service was very fast and polite, with a ton of great food for a...
Read moreI was a bit worried at first because the info page said they only take cash. But when I walked by, I saw a sign on the door that said they also accept PayPay and Alipay
I decided to give it a shot, and I’m glad I did. The prices are fair, and the katsudon was awesome. The staff were friendly, and as you can see from the photos, they’ve got menus in English and Chinese too.
Always nice to support local spots that are friendly to visitors...
