Somerset Shinagawa Tokyo — Hotel in Tokyo

I lived here for a month and to my horror , the place is full of cockroaches. The water pressure for the shower is so low . Toilet smells so bad and dirty . House keeping needs to buck up on their cleaning . Blankets have a smell . Asked for a change on the 1st day , they changed it but there is still a bad smell after . I gave up .

Gym equipments are old and some are spoiled .

Overall the place is really old and things are really crappy and run down .

Service team isn’t that helpful when I check out . No help was being offered and me alone have to push out the luggage one by one outside .

With this budget , I believe I have better choice out there ....

This is a lovely place. The reception area is very welcoming with an open lounge area. The professional and friendly staff greeted us with a smile. They went above and beyond our expectations to make sure we were comfortable and made themselves available if we needed directions, advised of shopping areas, etc. We stayed in a 2 beautiful bedroom unit on the 5th floor with a roof top patio and a balcony off the master bedrom. Stayed here one month with family. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything needed for a longer stay. Beds were also super comfortable. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the location near Shinagawa Station makes it easy to access.

Some minus points are that the amount of kitchen utensils in a two bedroom apartment was low for a family and the cookware was in pretty bad condition (coating peeling off of fry...
