Babilonas Hotel — Hotel in Kaunas

First time in my life I have had such a terrible experience with hotel. First time claimed to owner and didn’t stayed for a night. ||Room no 1. We took lux room for a night, when we entered it seems that air is dusty and dirty. Table, phone, bed, painting in dust, toilet with crack. Seems that windows was not washed for ages. Terrace was very dirty in some spots, table in dust and with some big old white spot. After we noticed that one of two beds are broken in the middle and making big hole. Receptionist was surprised to hear such a news, but without problems changed room. ||Room no 2. Situation the same, you are entering super dusty room with dirty windows, but in addition you are getting YELLOW toilet with crack and dark, long woman hair (unfortunately didn’t took a picture, but showed to husband). Such anti sanitary!!! After we noticed all this madness, asked to clean number and went for a dinner, when we came back situation didn’t changed. ||We decided to get back our money and get out of this hell. ||But...we met owner of this hotel, which wanted to check numbers. When we showed all problems and said that we are disappointed he started to say that they are not 5* hotel, so what you are expecting for (seems that he thinks that clean numbers are only in 5* hotels and in 3* should be dirty). Asked what’s our profession, he thought that we are doctors and thats why so mad about cleanliness. In the end he even didn’t want to check terrace. Conclusion from his side was, :“I know these kind of people, we’re having 2-3 in a year, who are looking for a problems in the rooms. We will black list you.”||Wishing you good luck with this kind of attitude and will to listen and understand...

We had stayed for quite few occasions but not planning to return on our next trip in Kaunas. Simply noticed that hotel not investing to improve their facilities.|Example coffee machine which was broken in January was still not in good working order when we stayed again in August. Not changing menu of breakfast for two years and some products not bwing fresh. |On our last visit baby cot was requested but not ready on arrival, shower head missing!, A/C making strange noise. Overall cleanliness not impressive either. Very basic daily service: in two weeks sheets were changed only twice, not cleaning shower or sink, bed being left untouched etc. External areas dusty and full of cobwebs.|The good thing about hotel that staff is really friendly but not always acting professionaly. Rooms are quite spacious and we like the terrace where can enjoy summer evenings. Location good. |Hotel could be even 4* rated but do need improvement and investment in facilities so let us know when it's done and we will definitely...

I think this is a lovely place. Maybe it's a smaller town charm, but people are friendly, service with a smile and finally a hotel where you don't just want to leave your things and escape to restaurants, but also you can stay in, sit on the terrace or just chill with pleasure. I took the simpliest room, but what a view I got! Sleeping in the woods, super relaxing and serene feeling. I'll definitely return. Oh, and good breakfast, finally some English channels on tv, old town in 5 mins and kind staff... I loved my...
