Hi Inn Miri — Hotel in Borneo

I had an extremely unpleasant experience with Hi Inn, and I strongly do not recommend this place.

The owner forgot my reservation twice. I drove five hours to get here, feeling exhausted and just wanting to rest, only to be told, “I forgot your booking.”

First time: The owner offered to help by checking with another hotel across the street. He came back saying there was one last room available. I drove there immediately, but when I arrived, I was told that after he left, another guest had taken the last room. I was left without a place to stay and ended up booking another hotel myself at a much higher price.

Second time: The same thing happened again — the owner forgot my booking even when I already paid the deposit. He helped me find another hotel, and I drove there and paid to stay. But that hotel was in terrible condition — the cleanliness was unacceptable. When I complained to the Hi Inn owner about why he arranged such a poor-quality hotel and asked if there was any other solution for the two times he forgot my booking, all he said was “sorry” and that there was nothing he could do.

This was a huge inconvenience and completely unprofessional. Forgetting a customer’s booking once is bad enough, but twice is absolutely unacceptable. I will never come back and I do not recommend anyone to trust their...
