The Yard — Restaurant in Borneo

Will be back again for other brekkie and dinner, as they are short of stuffs. The back door to the kitchen should be closed at all time, suggest to install netting to prevent from swampy flies, no jokes, but more or less 10-15 flies were in the cafe. Like they were taking turns to depart and land. The fly trap should be installed on top of wall, not on the floor. The steps gap to the main door is a bit higher than usual steps, consider to install additional step. It's better in terms of safety. The decorations and setting up of chairs and tables are acceptable. The chips/fries are not properly cooked. A bit raw, perhaps check the temperature between 165-175° of the deep fryer. Chicken popcorn, the texture could be better. Perhaps fry a bit longer than usual. The waffles, Rm2.50 for a scoop of ice cream could be bigger. Maybe a bit more flavour on the mixture of waffle batter. Not sure, but something's missing. Staff are friendly.

I came here after making a police report at the police station nearby. This place has got a good and welcoming atmosphere and it attracted me.

Me and my friend did not order food as we were still stuffed. We instead ordered drinks. Nice and refreshing juice and coffee. We rode motorcycle for over a hundred kilometers and from the heat we were thirsty.

Thoroughly enjoyed the juices and it quenched our thirst. The cappuccino and latte on the other hand were terrible. It felt like stale coffee was used and it was the same quality of those home based espresso machine. Totally not impressed. Wouldn’t come back for their coffee which is a let down. This place supposedly prides itself...

Pretty restaurant with good western food. Staffs were friendly but service was slightly slow. Place looks nice and classy.

Heres what we ordered: DUCK POKE BOWL. Tasty poke bowl with tonnes of ingredients; corn, edamame, wakame, egg, tomato. Portion was just right.

PASTA BOLOGNESE + CHICKEN. Pasta bolognese was pretty tasty, reminds me of old school bolognese with tonnes of beef and parmesan cheese. The grilled chicken was tasty too. I choose black pepper sauce which was a little mild and not too peppery.

PASTA BOLOGNESE + LAMB. Pasta was good same as above. Lamb was soft and cooked well. Mushroom sauce was very creamy but not mushroom enough.
