Nestled amidst the cityscape, the Horizon Hotel is a sanctuary that redefines comfort with its warm and cozy ambiance. From the moment I stepped into its welcoming embrace, I knew I was in for an extraordinary stay.

During my recent study trip, I had the pleasure of a two-night stay at the Horizon Hotel. It proved to be a haven of relaxation, allowing me to immerse myself in my studies while still feeling at ease. The standout feature was the outstanding Wi-Fi connection, which facilitated seamless online research and communication.

The staff at Horizon Hotel are a true testament to professionalism and friendliness. Their attentive service added an extra layer of comfort to my stay, making me feel well taken care of from start to finish.

One aspect that truly sets Horizon Hotel apart is its commitment to cleanliness. The establishment is flawlessly maintained, with every corner exuding a sense of orderliness. This attention to detail creates an environment that is both inviting and invigorating.

Fitness enthusiasts will find solace in the compact yet well-equipped gym at Horizon Hotel. Conveniently located on the same level as the swimming pool, it offers a perfect balance of cardio and extreme workout options. Sweating it out while overlooking the city's skyline is an experience that elevates the fitness routine to new heights.

The hotel's breakfast buffet is a culinary delight that should not be missed. Fresh, warm meals abound, catering to a variety of tastes. The coffee is a highlight, serving as the perfect energizer to kickstart the day's activities. What impressed me the most was the omnipresent staff who were always ready to assist. Their attentive service added a personal touch to the dining experience.

Horizon Hotel offers a haven of comfort, relaxation, and top-notch service. With its inviting ambiance, outstanding Wi-Fi, professional staff, impeccable cleanliness, well-equipped gym, and spectacular breakfast buffet, this establishment is a true gem. Whether you're on a study trip like me or seeking a relaxing escape, Horizon Hotel provides an experience that exceeds expectations. It's a testament to the dedication and attention to detail that the...

Rooms: Deluxe room with a seaview is great, you can see the horizon(probably what inspired the hotel name) and sunset perfectly. The ceiling to floor windows are transparent, do not do the naughty with your significant other unless you want people below to see. It is Japanese themed and have a traditional medium size Japanese round hot tub which you can soak in after a long day at the sea. 2 person can soak in but it is a pretty tight fit, it's better off for 1 person or used as a tub for the children to play in. For the shower area, you can alternate between the normal shower head or the rain shower above. The temperature stays even throughout, unlike some rain shower I've experienced. But the shower head holder is fixed and stationary, so you can't alter the angle of the shower head. TV is very dated, it's a Viera and shows are limited due to satellite being easily affected by weather.

Service: Staff is polite, helpful, and greets you with a smile. Breakfast starts at 0630, selection is limited but it is decent if you want/have activities you need to get to early and not picky with your food.

Location: Absolutely perfect. Orange(Malaysia's convenience shop chain) is directly opposite the entrance, Api Api Night Market(Fri~Sat) and Gaya Street Sunday Morning Market is right at your door step, walk out the entrance and you will see it. You can tabao(take away your food) and bring it back up to the hotel and enjoy it. There are also multiple famous eateries, restaurant and kopitiam(coffee shop) around, bak kut teh, nasi lemak, ayam penyet, laksas, etc. Prefer fast food? There's pizza hut and kfc just around the corner too. About 5 shopping malls are located within walking distance, Jesselton Point is about 3 mins by taxi/ride hailing service. But if you are here specifically for PADI/SDI courses only, Mercure might be a better choice as it is directly opposite of Jesselton Point, and 2 big...

Our stay on the 12th floor of this hotel offered beautiful views of the ocean from a distance, creating a serene and scenic atmosphere. While the hotel isn’t located directly on the beachfront, it overlooks the ocean from several meters away.||The room was equipped with standard amenities like a safe and an electric kettle. Although the bathtub could have been cleaner, the seating area with ocean views was cozy and inviting—a great spot to unwind. The TV offered a limited selection of mostly local channels, and the internet connection was a bit slow, especially during rainy weather, occasionally causing interruptions in streaming. However, the staff were quick to address any concerns; when the fridge wasn’t working, it was replaced immediately. While the bidet had a minor leak, we didn’t feel the need to request a repair.||Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The hotel features two excellent restaurants and a coffee shop. The breakfast buffet leaned towards Asian and local dishes, with a smaller selection of Western options. The cereal choices were more indulgent than healthy, and while the coffee was decent, the tea from the machine was overly bitter.||The infinity pool and children’s pool were standout features, and the lounge on the 5th floor provided a relaxing and comfortable space to unwind. The hotel’s location is convenient, with many attractions and amenities within walking distance, though it’s not directly by the ocean.||With a few improvements, this hotel has the potential to enhance its offerings further, but it already delivers a comfortable and enjoyable experience for those seeking scenic ocean views. On the plus side, we had the unique experience of watching New Year’s fireworks right from our hotel window, and we could even see planes passing over the next building—though thankfully, no sound disturbed the...

Horizon Hotel, Kota Kinabalu (KK) is a 4 stars hotel located right at the center of KK city. Booked for twin deluxe room, it was superb in quality. The room is well cleaned & tidy, full amenities that you could expect from 4 stars service hotel such soap, shampoo & conditioner, rain shower (hot & cold), comb, toothbrush, sewing kit, iron w/board, bathrobe, 40inch flat screen tv, mini bar and even safe box. The room also smell fresh & good soundproofing! My room located at 9th floor overlooking towards sea view, awesome! There is also swimming pools available for adults & kids pools, gym at 6th floor (also overlooking to sea view). Free breakfast available at Deco & Grill Cafe at the lobby, the breakfast buffet is okay & can be improved. The price range is varied & average between RM350 - RM750 per night. (worth it!) The overall service is great & friendly hotel hostess. The hotel's location is also great! Located just right few steps away from the infamous Gaya Sunday Market (Sunday only). Just 2 blocks away from the hotel is infamous Bak Kut Teh restaurant, Suria Mall, Upperstar Bar, 20mins walk to Jesselton Jetty or Filipino Market. There is also 24hours shop available steps away from the hotel. Recommended hotel! Value for money!

Hotel staffs are not friendly. Never greet guests at main entrance nor helping with baggage. No courtesy as well when answering questions & never say sorry. Housekeeping come at 8am, sometimes earlier than 8am everyday in the morning & just pointing at the room to the guests for them to come in & make up room. Room is not make up properly as the amenities are not refilled if you put the half used amenities in the bathroom. Whoever wanted to stay here can put a 'Do Not Disturb' sign at their door to avoid disturbance in the morning. Housekeeping will come back later to make up your room. Room is decent. Bedsheets are clean but towels are rough & a bit smelly. Windows are soundproof. Door is not secure as it's can't fully close but still can lock it. Breakfast buffet menu is the same everyday at Cafe Deco. Very little things to eat but taste is not bad. The perks staying here is it's easy to get around places by walking. Gaya Street is in front of the hotel. Suria Sabah Mall & Wisma Merdeka is 10 mins walking distance. Got halal certified Chinese Thien Thien restaurant across the road for Muslims. Malay Chinese Arab Indonesian restaurants, Mini marts, Watsons & Guardians are nearby too.
