Used to be my favourite place to have satay and roti, owner was friendly way back. now that they are famous among locals, they have become quite snobbish.
Owner is now only friendly towards tourist. Even the locals who supported this place from way back when is ignored. Perhaps owner doesnt realise that people go there for the satay, contrary to the owner the satay sellers are always polite to customers no matter where they are from, they should be having their own place rather than renting from these snobs who occassionally closed without any reasons. and the funniest thing is they only bother to put the information notice in korean, not even english or malay.
Was waiting for an empty seat and saw one table, went to sit on it and owner quickly waved to drive us out as if we were animals, the son explained that the tourists had been waiting for a while so should give them the seat, i dont mind if they just explained that instead of using an unfriendly gesture, of which the son did at the end. the only reason we went to sit at the table was because the tourists were already sitting down at a seat with table, so we thought they already had their seat. no problem at all with that, just that please be more proper in communicating with customers regardless if they are tourists or not.
just remember, things can change, one day your shop might no longer be a famous tourist spot, and whos gonna go there? locals. however if you keep on treating local customers rudely, probably locals wouldnt even wanna go to your shop anymore. anyway, its better to go to the shop named Fortune, its just a few shops away from this...

Owner more friendly to tourist rather than the locals who supported this place from way back when. Just remember, you are nothing without the satay stall.
I noticed biased treatment among local and foreign customers. When giving change for payment, the owner was more polite. Saw him giving change to local but the money dropped and he didnt even bothered to help pick it up instead just left to attend to other korean customers, so rude. Satay workers more polite regardless of who is the customer, even gave the change with 2 hands also la.
Nothing else to say, just need to remind the owner to remember who was there for you from day one and through tough times. Who helped you during COVID-19 pandemic? The locals right? So treat them fairly and with upmost respect. Kudos to...

Prices at Ho Ping Kopitiam are generally lower than Yuit Cheong.
If you order Soto or Rojak Mee at Fortune (next shop), they are supplied by Ho Ping Kopitiam.
I have tried Soto and Rojak Mee at both Yuit Cheong and Ho Ping Kopitiam.
Soto at Ho Ping is more savoury (salty) compare to Yuit Cheong.
Rojak Mee at Ho Ping is more tasty than from Yuit Cheong.
