KK Plaza is a small shopping mall in the middle of Kota Kinabalu city center. There is no big cinema here, no entertainment outlets (such as karaoke and pool table) . All you will find here is a lot of small shops selling clothes, shoes, accessories (such as wallet, sling bag, backpack) and wedding planners that offers malay wedding shirts and for rent.

At the ground floor of KK Plaza you will find a lot of small mobile phone shopes selling original smartphones such as Oppo, Vivo, Samsung, iPhone. They also sell China made cheap smartphone such as Vivk and Lenovo. Most of the visitor that come to KK Plaza are Bajau people from Pulau Gaya. Shop assistant mainly are Bajau or Suluk girl. Most shop will open about 10:00 AM and will close around 8:00 PM.

Went there couple months ago and visit the department store Servay hypermarket. Thought of buying souvenirs there and need assist from a promoter. They are not really friendly towards muslim customers/malay(semenanjung) (i think) only entertain korean customer nicely. When i asked politely one of the promoter there whether can i taste a piece of a chocolate from a sample bottle because i want to choose the flavour and buy it ( girl, early 20s not really sure her race;chinese or others, straight long hair; ponytail, wearing spectacles and can speak korean) she ignore me and rudely took a chocolate sample bottle from my hand and continue entertain the korean customer although i was at the section first. I feel so frustrated and wonder how on earth can someone treat a foreigner better than their own citizen. Hope the management do something about the customer equality treatment. Don't be deterred by the run-down outlook of this very very local mall.
