Restoran Jeti — Restaurant in Borneo

If I were to compare the food here with Welcome restaurant, I personally prefer Jeti to Welcome. However, be prepared for the high price, which I'm OK with it as long as the food is tasty. Some Hongkonger ran this business, and you know what to expect from service by a typical HK fellow - sucks big time!! The lady boss/captain is very pushy and bloody rude. Don't listen to customers and snap you off as you speak. Doesn't accept NO for an answer. It gives customers an impression that they are not very keen on doing business. Also, one sickening point she constantly compares here with HK and says things like, "if u have been to HK, then you wouldn't have asked this question.." Really, what added value does it brings by saying something like this and still need to answer our questions? Jeti, I suggest you replace that HK lady with one of your local kadazan staff - they are much friendlier and more pleasant to speak with. Food alone, I will rate it 4 stars. Service, 0 stars for the HK lady. 4.5 star...

Coke to dine here as they are the only restaurant that open during raya holiday. Ordered few dishes to share with family. Below are some that I have liked. We didn’t ordered much seafood as we already have it during lunch.

Fried squid are good. Thin batter and squid are cooked nicely as it is not rubbery.

Claypot chicken are ok. Taste light and nothing special.

Scallion biscuit are ok. Again, taste light and the pastry are not puffy or flakey.

Overall food are ok. Didn’t taste their seafood much so for those fish we are order are pretty average. Only thing I don’t like is the attitude of the waiter when we didn’t ordered seafood her face are very sour.

We had dinner here tonight thinking that if the reviews given have held true this restaurant is worth visiting. Our experience proved otherwise. Food is pricey but the service rendered only adds salt to the wound. That lady, apparently a 'captain', is cocky in the ways she handled our queries. One gets the impression that our patronising is least welcome. After we made payment, there wasn't even a thank you. The food is freshly cooked and should have tasted good enough as it is without much flavouring and garnishment. But no, the original freshness and sweetness is not brought up but spoilt....
