Grand Inn — Hotel in George Town

Truly appreciate the reception staff because I've arrived in around 11-12pm and rain heavily, he serve us nicely and lend us his own umbrella. Good service for budget hotels.

The room just nice. We used 2 to rooms, 1 for family room and the another for double room. The double room is near from the street and quite noisy. You may request another room position.

They didn't serve mineral water in room but you can get water as much as you want from the water dispenser in your floor with water heater in your room. They give coffe in sachets as room services, but when we went checkout it give us adding fee to pay. We thought its free just like another hotels.

The location itself very good. Right across the street just 24h Restaurant (Jaya), Convenient store (7-Eleven), and Clothes store. It's near from free CAT bus stop and another tourism attraction (like street art), also near from local traditional food (Sup Hameed, Nadi Kandar Line Clear), Bar, International food tenant (Starbucks,...

If you travel to this hotel through online taxi such as Grab, careful of not entering the wrong destination. Apparently, it isnt the only Grand Inn hotel in Penang island and the other Grand Inn belongs to the same group too.||||Walking distance to plenty of hawkers around the area. Within the same block to the reknown soup hameed, red garden hawker center and several convenience stores around the hotel area.||||My room was not that great in terms of amenities, size and the toiletries.||It has a water-filtered dispenser connected to the tap on the hallway for those who trust the filter (some guests with sensitive stomach or worries could get a bottled mineral water from nearby convenience stores) ||||Its probably just me being sensitive and all but i felt itchy sleeping overnight, specially my head/hair.||||Staffs are friendly and helpful. Had my Visa Run and the company I coordinated to is affiliated with this hotel where we stayed for 1 night. I guess 3/4 of the guests who stayed here have the same reason as I am. As part of the package, food was included and we were given 4 coupons for our entire stay, the restaurant is just right beside the lobby. Food was great except for the breakfast.||Room size is good, I have 2 big beds, a private bathroom, a small desk, a fan, an air-condition, a heater that works well and a television. Room rates are worthy for low budget travelers. Location wise, it is accessible to everything, a family mart across the road, some restaurants and other more. ||The bad things were, bed was quite itchy, probably the bed bugs were the cause of it and the room has only two outlets located on the desk far from the bed. ||Nevertheless, I will still consider it as a good...
