A Scrumptious Delight: Jipinhe's Meat-Stuffed Scones with a Crunchy Perfection. Rating: ★★★★☆
I recently had the pleasure of trying Jipinhe's meat-stuffed scones, and I must say, they were a delightful treat that satisfied both my savory and crunchy cravings. These unique scones are a departure from the traditional sweet scones, and they certainly exceeded my expectations.
The first thing that caught my attention was the enticing aroma as the scones were being baked. The tantalizing scent filled the air, building anticipation for the taste to come. As I took my first bite, I was greeted with a satisfying crunch from the crust, which encased the tender and flavorful meat filling.
The scones themselves were baked to perfection. The exterior had a wonderful golden-brown hue, giving them an appetizing appearance. The crust was delightfully crunchy, adding a delightful textural contrast to the succulent meat inside. The scones were not overly dense, striking a balance between being substantial and still maintaining a lightness that made them enjoyable to eat.
What truly sets Jipinhe's meat-stuffed scones apart is the delicious meat filling. The savory flavors were well-seasoned, and the meat was tender and juicy. Whether it was chicken, beef, or another meat variety, each filling was carefully crafted and provided a burst of flavor with every bite. The combination of the rich and savory meat with the crispy crust created a delectable harmony that left me craving for more.
One aspect that could be improved upon is the variety of flavors available. While the meat fillings were undeniably tasty, having additional options or the possibility to customize the scone fillings would add a welcome element of choice for customers.
Overall, Jipinhe's meat-stuffed scones are a unique and flavorful treat. The scones are baked to perfection, with a crunchy crust that pairs perfectly with the tender and savory meat fillings. If you're looking for a satisfying snack or a savory twist on the traditional scone, I highly recommend giving Jipinhe's meat-stuffed scones a try. They are a true delight for your taste buds.

Read moreConvenient when super hungry, 1 scone can be full, and only the scones are worthit imo. Not cheap tho, 2 scones, 2 noodles can reach up to RM40++ used foodpanda pickup because the price was too high for walk in/beepit even after promo. nice packaging tho.
Scones: the chicken pieces were very tender and crust so chewy crispy, and slight salted on the bottom. not too oily or jelak even after left for few hours. it was difficult to decide, but they all taste quite similar so cant go that wrong. ate twice already, standards still the same.
Sweet tomato chicken thigh with corn RM8.80 [5/5] - not as peppery as the shrimp scone, light flavoured, but rm1 cheaper. corn didnt do anything to it, the chicken thigh pieces were tender.
Savory shrimp chicken thigh RM9.80 [5/5] - recommend this one! slightly peppery than normal ones, very tasty!
Noodles: not worth the try. but still delicious. similar to china instant noodles.
Authentic hot and sour noodles RM13.80 [3/5] - so so only. not that spicy. got chewy sweet potato noodle, fishcake and a few meatballs.
Pickled pepper rice noodle soup RM14.80 [4/5] - also nothing amazing. but spicier than authentic hot and sour noodles, and slight sourness from the veges. got white nooles and a...
Read moreThis is actually not scone but just baked pastry with filling.
Tried several of their pastries. In overall, filling is a lot, taste and texture is really average. Black pepper beef is kinda dry and taste bland; chicken & shrimp has 3 tiny shrimps but overbaked, texture of both chicken & shrimp don't taste suitable together; New Orleans chicken taste good.
Their slogan of 香酥脆 (fragrant & crispy) pastries skin doesn't seems fitting. The baked pastry is hot when being served, after letting it cool down for about 5 minutes, the skin don't have any fragrance and not crispy. Any average siew bao and Chinese puffs in Malaysia are crispy even after 3 days.
The average price of each baked pastry is RM8.8/9.8, probably more worthy to buy 2/3 pieces of siew bao with tasty filling and crispier skin.
Location is just outside Lot 10 Hutong, easily accessible if you are not fulling after meal. Atmosphere is quite good except the place is a little small, limited seats and can be noisy. Staff is okay but would be better to show some smile and...
