Visited Plan B in TRX today with 5 other colleagues. We just moved into nearby offices and this place came recommended in having good food and service. My experience was extremely disappointing – quality of food was disappointing, timing of the food was awful and the attitude and behaviour of the manager Yu An was a disgrace. We ordered : Godfather, Sally’s Salmon Sandwich, Eggs My Way, Km Heong Sifu, Golden Sarawak Laksa and Buttermilk Chicken Carbonara. The order was made and processed at 12.24 – and the Carbonara came within 15 minutes which was promptly followed by the Godfather burger. As we were with colleagues, we waited for the other meals to arrive (reasonable to think that there would be some co-ordination in the kitchen). It took another 10 minutes for the Laksa to arrive and a further 10 minutes for Heong Sifu to be served. By this time, the Carbonara and Burger had been sat for over 20 minutes (35 minutes in total since ordering) and still no signs of the 2 items which should have been the easiest to prepare – 1 x smoked salmon sandwich and 1x scrambled eggs on toast. Being frustrated, I approached the counter to follow-up – counter staff were unaware of the status but apologised. The manager was made aware of my dissatisfaction but rather than try and explain the situation, stayed in the kitchen in hiding. I could see him start cracking eggs for the egg sandwich – I doubt this would even have started had I not approached staff. This was embarrassing – this was supposed to celebrate a team event in a new office and this is an establishment which made no effort to provide acceptable service. RM 190 for the food which was cold for everyone (bar the 2x sandwiches) – a bad experience for everyone who...

Initially, we wanted to eat at a kopitiam nearby, but it was packed, and we were in a rush. That’s when we spotted Plan B. Breakfast at Plan B was fine, though the prices were on the steeper side, especially considering the number of eateries in the area - eggs on toast cost around RM18, and the small breakfast was RM28. However, this cafe is a bit more ‘atas’ compared to a local kopitiam or mamak, so it’s not exactly fair to compare the prices.

While waiting for our food and drinks, I checked the reviews and saw mixed opinions about the quality and value, which made us a bit concerned. Thankfully, when our food arrived, we were happy with both the presentation and taste. The portion was actually a bit too much for me, and I couldn’t finish it all. The coffee, priced at RM12, was served in a small glass, while the lemonade came in a standard-sized glass for RM15. From the menu, it seemed like there was only one size for coffee, and I’m unsure if we could request a larger portion. If we were catching up with friends over coffee, we would probably need to reorder, which isn’t ideal.

Overall, we had a good breakfast, but spending almost RM100 for two wasn’t really in our plans on that day, especially when there were many cheaper local restaurants and...

Visited Plan B at TRX and honestly, I’m torn. The ambience is beautiful—romantic, cozy, and just perfect for a dinner date or a quiet night out. The service was great too. Our server was friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout. But the food? Very questionable. I ordered a medium rare steak, and it came out medium. Sent it back to the kitchen, hoping for a correction—what I got was almost blue rare. It almost felt like the chef got annoyed and decided to serve the rawest version possible. At that point, I was too hungry to send it back again. Unfortunately, the meat was completely bland—no salt, no pepper, nothing. Thankfully, the mushroom sauce helped a bit, and the fries were crispy and seasoned well. But what’s the point if the main dish falls flat? Also ordered their aglio olio, and it was another letdown. Tasteless, no garlic aroma, just a bit of oil and chili flakes. Honestly, how hard is it to get a simple garlic and olive oil pasta right? I genuinely love the place—the vibe, the location, the service—it’s all on point. But the food needs serious improvement. I’d come back for the ambience and drinks, but not for the food until things get better. Went to dine on 3rd of August 2025, around 7PM to 8PM

My 4th time visiting this restaurant. Amazing place amazing food amazing service. Usually only ordered using QR scan on phone. But today i came, the menu card is now different, i saw some very interesting new foods in the list too!. However, the new menu card was very hard to read as it has lots of words and in small sizes of font too. No pictures on the menu card made me hard to choose or imagine how they look like and description’s definitely long And i did order furikake fries cause i read the description the ingredients sounded nice to me. But when it came, it was only literally fries with seaweed flakes and not real furikake. And the gamo aioli and lime written down in the description also was not served. When i asked the waiter (a foreigner) he brought back the menu to me and i showed him the description of the fries. Sadly he only spinned his words told me all of the ingredients are already mixed together with the fries. This outlet is one of my favourite restaurants in KL. Just hoping u could deliver ur own food description given to customers to choose and pay, and also hoping FOH staffs have better menu knowledge But keep up the good work!! cause i will definitely come again :)
