Visited Plan B in TRX today with 5 other colleagues. We just moved into nearby offices and this place came recommended in having good food and service. My experience was extremely disappointing – quality of food was disappointing, timing of the food was awful and the attitude and behaviour of the manager Yu An was a disgrace. We ordered : Godfather, Sally’s Salmon Sandwich, Eggs My Way, Km Heong Sifu, Golden Sarawak Laksa and Buttermilk Chicken Carbonara. The order was made and processed at 12.24 – and the Carbonara came within 15 minutes which was promptly followed by the Godfather burger. As we were with colleagues, we waited for the other meals to arrive (reasonable to think that there would be some co-ordination in the kitchen). It took another 10 minutes for the Laksa to arrive and a further 10 minutes for Heong Sifu to be served. By this time, the Carbonara and Burger had been sat for over 20 minutes (35 minutes in total since ordering) and still no signs of the 2 items which should have been the easiest to prepare – 1 x smoked salmon sandwich and 1x scrambled eggs on toast. Being frustrated, I approached the counter to follow-up – counter staff were unaware of the status but apologised. The manager was made aware of my dissatisfaction but rather than try and explain the situation, stayed in the kitchen in hiding. I could see him start cracking eggs for the egg sandwich – I doubt this would even have started had I not approached staff. This was embarrassing – this was supposed to celebrate a team event in a new office and this is an establishment which made no effort to provide acceptable service. RM 190 for the food which was cold for everyone (bar the 2x sandwiches) – a bad experience for everyone who...

Breakfast at Plan B was fine, though the prices were on the steeper side, especially considering the number of eateries in the area - eggs on toast cost around RM18, and the small breakfast was RM28. However, this cafe is a bit more ‘atas’ compared to a local kopitiam or mamak, so it’s not exactly fair to compare the prices.
While waiting for our food and drinks, I checked the reviews and saw mixed opinions about the quality and value, which made us a bit concerned. Thankfully, when our food arrived, we were happy with both the presentation and taste. The portion was actually a bit too much for me, and I couldn’t finish it all. The coffee, priced at RM12, was served in a small glass, while the lemonade came in a standard-sized glass for RM15. From the menu, it seemed like there was only one size for coffee, and I’m unsure if we could request a larger portion. If we were catching up with friends over coffee, we would probably need to reorder, which isn’t ideal.
Overall, we had a good breakfast, but spending almost RM100 for two wasn’t really in our plans on that day, especially when there were many cheaper local restaurants and...
