We stayed here for a month, and one of the best things I can say is that we would definitely return and stay again for another month. The location is its best feature, since it is so close to everything. Pastry shop across the street, coffee a few doors down, convenience store also close, and dozens of restaurants within a 5-minute walk. You can get to the Pavilion, or times square shopping center, or the food Street within 10 to 15 minutes.
Because we stayed for so long, we opted for one of the larger rooms with the private bath and that made it all the more more tenable. We did not have a refrigerator, and after working through some storage issues with the common fridge in the eating area, we were able to get by. They had a hot water boiler so I found it very comfortable to have coffee and breakfast pastry there every morning. The gentlemen at the front desk were always very kind and courteous and we did not require ongoing housekeeping so we had little to do with any other staff.
It does not fit the most common description of a 4 star hotel, but when I take into account the room, the service, and the location, it hits all the marks. The only thing that is an issue is their maintenance is not up to par. Sometimes the kitchen is not kept as clean as it should and is not maintained.
November, 2024: we returned for another 4-week stay, got the same room, and it feels about the same. Still, my biggest concern is the upkeep of the property itself, but the people...
Read moreCockroaches and bedbugs, lpud music all night from the bar beside it, many of the rooms don't have ventilation, so they smell moldy, like oldy moldy and on tope of that the water pressure is nearly non existant. Once they take your deposit, you can bet your bottom they will do everything in their power to try to keep it. They said I owed 45 and I told him that's crazy but I'm not going to argue and he didn't want to give me the 5.... it's like bro, I'm not going to beg you for 5 ringgit. Overall if you have the little extra money it takes to stay in a better place nearby then do it! Even a hostel would be better. I paid 70 ringgit for the first night (a Thursday) and 100 ringgit after(Friday and Saturday). When I was checking out I told him, I don't think this is worth 100 ringgit but if the price is lower tomorrow I'll come back. Maybe I offended him and that's why he wanted to keep my deposit but I already asked to change rooms and...
Read moreThe most terrible hotel experience I have ever met! We booked a deluxe triple room thru Agoda. Upon our arrival at about 1 am, the receptionist was surprised and said he thought we would not come anymore. Thus, THE ROOM THAT WE BOOKED HAD BECOME UNAVAILABLE. He can only provide a saver triple room which is with a shared bathroom. You thought we wouldn't come anymore, and you led it to others for higher profits!? Is this your work ethics? The more ridiculous thing was, the receptionist thought there were only 2 of us coming. He even asked us WHETHER WE CAN ACCEPT A TWIN ROOM. Wow, that's how you run a business? Priorities profit but customer experience aside. Other than that, for the hotel itself, dirty and disgusting as you all can see in the pictures. The sound proof effect of the room is totally nonexistent. You can even clubbing with the bar beside the hotel in your dream. TOTALLY NOT...
