Palillos Yakitori Bar is a lively, buzzing place with a fantastic atmosphere. The design is cool and inviting, making you feel ready for a fun night out with friends. The large bar counter, open kitchen, and stylish interior design create a welcoming and energetic ambiance. There are a limited number of tables, so booking in advance is highly recommended. They also have a small patio with outdoor seating.
Food: The food is a fusion of Japanese and Spanish influences, where you can enjoy classic Japanese appetizers, yakitori skewers, and some Spanish tapas. We sampled several skewers – chicken breast and wings – expertly cooked, tender, juicy, with a slightly crispy crust and smoky aroma. We also tried the lamb cutlet, which was cooked perfectly – tender and flavorful, with well-balanced spices. The foie gras was cooked well, a seared piece of foie gras served on a crispy cracker with honey, but unfortunately, we ordered two portions and the pieces were quite different in size, one being almost twice as big as the other. I also enjoyed the avocado and anchovy sandwiches, where the salty anchovy perfectly balanced the creamy avocado. The breaded squid was a little non-chewable, but still enjoyable. We were particularly fond of the complimentary cabbage salad in their signature sauce – so good, we even asked for a second serving!
Service: The service was excellent, with dishes arriving promptly and the staff working together seamlessly. I really appreciate their team approach. Overall, everything was great.
Conclusion:
Pallios is a wonderful place, a fantastic spot for drinks with friends, a tasty bite to eat, and a lively, fun evening. Everything we tried was delicious, the yakitori skewers were exceptional. I highly recommend this place, especially in the evenings – just come and soak up the...
Read moreThis place is haven for yakitori! The iberico pork belly with wasabi is the bomb!! So addictive! Came here to celebrate my friend’s bday. We had mixed grilled platter - everything in it is just full of awesomeness! Mentaiko bacon is also great, and smoked cheese. Portions are little that will make you want to order some more.
We had bottle of wine for the whole night until closing. They provide paper cups for us to finished it. This place is for memories - for celebration, for dates, or even just for catch up moments.
Minus one star because the staff totally forget the dessert i ordered for my friend’s bday. I didnt remind him anymore because its almost closing time and someone asked if there is anything to order before the kitchen close but i didnt follow up because i was already keeping it a secret - i mean a surprise for my friend. So i was assuming that the staff i talked to already taken the order. They dont have any candles or anything for bdays thats why i just opted for a dessert for my friend. I think they should elevate on this side and could make celebrations even more memorable since that the food is already wonderful!
Other than that they’re also polite when they say they’re closing at 12. I dont have any issues with that except that my friend dont like it since we’re still finishing our drink.
Price is high but you get what you paid for. Ill recommend getting a bottle of wine if you’re into it. Will last longer for catch up and you could save compare to getting per glass.
Anyway, i would come back for another round of iberico pork belly and...

I recently spent three weeks in KL and found myself at Palillos on many evenings. The atmosphere was ambient and the staff were calm and thoughtful. I was always greeted with a smile and left to ponder and view the diverse menu at my leisure. Nothing was too much trouble and was even educated on the various qualities of the SAKE that was available.
The hosts were open and friendly and recommended certain dishes that I wouldn't have chosen alone. I was delighted with the tastes and quality of the food. I especially loved the skewered chicken butt - (out of this world!!!). All the plates came expertly dressed and you felt like every dish was a piece of art! I often travel to KL, so from now on the only place I will be eating is Palillos!
I find the previous 1 star rating is quite inappropriate. KL is diverse and multicultural, so to say that it has foreign workers is just laughable! The food is of an amazing high standard and the staff are consistently attentive which speaks well of the whole atmosphere created here.
I would highly recommend this dining experience and say that if in doubt - go and check it out for yourself.
