Palace Hotel Kuala Lumpur — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

Service was just ok for a 2 star hotel. first night we stayed there were 2 blackouts in our room which was rectified quickly. room smelled weird like cigarette/tobacco smell but it was rectified after housekeeping sprayed some air freshener and we opened the windows for a while. Nothing much to be expected from 2 star hotel but the staff were very accommodating to our requests.||||wifi was really bad. Could not connect and too many users using the same network. we stayed on 4th floor and there were like 20+ rooms per floor and if everyone uses wifi it would be dead slow. Try doing the math if more than one user uses wifi per room. and its the same password for every floor. Would not stay here again if the wifi situation is this bad. Could not send any message via whatsapp or google anything to plan our journey or places to visit. ||||Breakfast buffet is served between 7 to 10am. Breakfast service needs improvement as not everyone gets the breakfast they need. if you come later that would mean lesser items for you to choose as they will not top up the food. in our case its just the rice and sambal only for the nasi lemak and nothing else. and we...

The location is good. The hotel was renovated new. But with the bed bugs problem, you might reconsider to stay in this hotel.||||My parents were staying at room 319, yes, the room is spacious and clean. When it night time, my mother started itching around here body. All her skin area (body, leg, arm) had been bitten by bed bugs and condition was quite worse. They complained to the security and receptionist, at 12am, they had been changed room 321.||||In room 321, unfortunately the AC was not working but they did not informed the hotel as it was quite late. In the morning, the room cleaner had detected about the AC problem and told the staff to fixed it. So it was fixed.||||The bed bugs drama continues in room 321 until my parents bought an insect aerosol. My mother and father still bitten my the bed bugs, after been sprayed with insect aerosol, it was stopped for a while, then continued again. You need to continue to spray the insect aerosol.||||They stayed for 3 days, as all the payment had been paid through here, so they just decided to stay at the hotel even they were suffering. The location is excellent. The lobby is nice and the rooms are ok. Now that I’ve stayed in a couple of hotels within 2 km, I think Palace is over priced. Also the front desk staff are quiet rude and dismissive. I asked for a extra bed sheet as the bed only had the under sheet and think doona which was too hot. I asked front desk no less than four times over two days, each time a different person, without action.(5day stay) Finally on my fifth attempt when I told the person this is my fifth request for the same thing, she asked me if I’d asked housekeeping myself, once I did that I got the sheet immediately. Obviously it was too much trouble for all of them to make that one call and the staff I asked all reacted like I was asking for a miracle. I would not stay here again based on the unhelpful front desk staff and price. There are many properties just as good if not better which give much better value with friendly helpful people...
