Lobby: First thing that you will notice when entering the hotel is that the lobby is extremely messy, looks nothing like the one in agoda. There are huge parcel-like item on the floor everywhere.
Rooms: The rooms that I stayed in, though they're very affordable, it smells like cigarettes smoke and when I informed this to the receptionist, their response was just giving us air freshener which obviously does not help with the smell. Do note that most of the rooms do not have windows. Therefore, there are no proper ventilation, hence, the cigarette smoke smell. Bed bugs problem, eewwww. Let's not talk about toilet. Probably the worst thing that could happen in life is the toilet.
Room facilities: Air Conditioner works completely fine. No water heater jug provided but there is a water dispenser that are not very clean provided for each floor. Water heater for bathing is available. Toilet is disgusting, a hell lot of stains and suspicious holes at the ceiling. The TV works fine but not much channel available (as usual). Door is not noise proof, you can hear people from far away outside of the room.
Safety: If you're a fan of a random shirtless guy knocking at your door at 2am, you are most welcome to the hotel but if you don't and you care for your safety, please DO NOT stay in this hotel. Me and my friends encounter this traumatic tragedy during our stay.
System: If you were to check-in before 2pm, there'll be RM10 charge per hour. For room service, you need to inform the receptionist if you want your room cleaned.
Overall interior circulation: The walkway to the room is quite dark even during the day. Lift is quite dangerous, it closes so fast and sometimes are not sensitive to people trying to hold it open. The lift has probably never been serviced for a very long time, the indicators are not functioning well. You wouldn't know where the lift is at while waiting. The buttons are definitely not "GRAND".
Accessibility: Do note that there are no 24 hours convenient store or laundry nearby. There are quite a number of mamak nearby if you're interested. Not too far from Masjid Jamek or Bandaraya LRT station but if you were to go out when it's dark, better be alert of your surroundings. There might be people following you. Grab couldn't enter that area, the entrance to the area are often blocked. No proper parking space available.
Staff: Generally helpful and friendly but definitely not the best at problem solving. One of the staffs was willing to wait for me and friends to open your room even at 3am (credits to that).
General comments: Probably once "DE GRAND ORCHARD" hotel but not...

From the very first second it was a nightmare. Our taxi dropped us from the airport with all our bags to the address listed on our booking, this just turned out to be the "nice looking front" and we were told we had to walk across the road and around the back of another building (with no assistance with bags or any apparent care for our wellbeing).
The alleyway we ended up in was dirty and full of unsavoury looking characters who were giving us equally unsavoury looks. We did not feel safe and it was very obvious we were quite out of place here.
When we tried to check in our booked had been cancelled (might not have been their fault) so we worked with the staff to sort it out. The lady we dealt with at this point was the only positive experience we had with this hotel.
We got a room sorted and like total rookies agreed paid for 3 nights without inspecting the room first (we were exhausted and too nervous to leave our bags unattended in the lobby or being separated at this point).
What a mistake that was. The room was absolutely filthy, the sheets were stained, the pillow has some kind of glittery bodily fluid stains on it, there were boogers in the bath mat and it was just generally gross. Pretty obvious the bed was just remade without changing the sheets before us, which is super gross. I slept in a long shirt, pants and socks to avoid my skin having to touch any part of the bed.
We were going to ask for a refund but there is a very blunt and frankly rude sign in reception stating that "absolutely no refund will be given for any reason whatsoever" what kind of miserable excuse for customer service is this OYO? Pull your finger out.
Even knowing we'd lose our money we checked out as early as we could the next day and found MUCH nicer accommodation elsewhere for not much more than we paid for this sesspool or sadness.
