Muzium Telekom, conveniently located near Bukit Nanas, offers free admission and a self-service experience. Although there are no guided tours, the main exhibit, situated on the 1st floor, provides an air-conditioned haven for visitors seeking respite from the hot and humid conditions outside. Despite its compact size, the museum manages to captivate visitors with a variety of interesting exhibits, showcasing the rich history of telecommunications in Malaysia. Within the exhibit center, there is a dedicated floor with numerous benches and bean bags where visitors can relax and unwind. Additionally, the ground floor features art exhibits and a pleasant canopy area with seating, providing a space for visitors to socialize and linger. It’s worth noting that the restaurant on the ground floor has been abandoned for some time. Unfortunately, wheelchair users may find Muzium Telekom inaccessible as there is no lift to the 1st floor. However, there is a toilet available on the 1st floor. Aside from the exhibits, visitors can also appreciate the charm of the old colonial building that houses the museum, adding an extra element of architectural beauty to...
Read moreI was at MT more than a yr ago when the MT was hosting the Immersio exhibition. That was a very pleasant experience despite the exhibition itself coz it was free entrance into the Museum. Very informative and fun with all the varieties of antique phones, behind the screen operations and history, of coz. I do recommend this local Museum to many of my friends. In the last visit, we were allowed to go to upper level w the spiral led staircase, but it was blocked. So the walk about confined to that entrance level only. Kinda disappointed that I was not able to see the colorful display on that upper level. It's a fairly short tour that one can finish in about 45min, if, going thru the...
