When you go to any restaurant in India, especially South Indian restaurants the moment you take the seat, the first thing happens is they greet while filling a glass of water of for you to settle down, this exists even in AAB Chennai, strangely nobody is there in AAB KL to do this kind gesture. If you are going to AAB Masjid Jamek outlet then you go there only for the cook, who ever is the cook he/she doesn't compromise on the authenticity of the South Indian food. Other than that this place needs lot of improvement in each and everything you see. Especially the supervisor and servers they are least bothered about customers, no courtesy, customer service, common sense, it looks very clearly that the supervisors and servers are not at all interested in working there. They will keep staring outside no matter what happens inside the restaurant, if you are getting hiccup they will not even give you water. They will not remove the plates until unless we request them to take it off. If they know that you are a rich guy then 3 people will attend you. These things I never experienced in Chennai and it's a surprise to see in KL. These irresponsible and undedicated staffs needs real motivation, change in branch or a seriouswarning letter. 5-6 people always lock themselves inside the kitchen not sure why? Please make AAB as good as Chennai branch. This is a SHAME and it's SPOILING the BRAND name. Will visit again to see improvement and of course...
Read moreThis is my third time coming to this branch of A2B. My daughter’s favorite is the kulfi.. tried before the kulfi here, as for our knowledge the kulfi normally taste good & that’s what the reason my daughter took the mango kulfi to eat. As she open the cover was stucked in the pot so I assume that the cover froze on the bottom. When we had a look into the pot the kulfi was hard, frozen plus looked pale and even the mini spoon of kulfi can’t get through the kulfi. So I ask the waiter for the explanation and he said all kulfis are normally like that condition. I refused to believe as we had ate kulfis many times before including in this branch itself. I approached the restaurant cashier whom I believe was the manager and he too said the same answer but rude manner. I told him that my child wants to change different kulfi but he refused to change as he say all will be the same. He also add that already put in the bill. When my husband approached him for paying the current bill, he rudely returned back the change and grumbled about the situation. Argument was made and the manager took video of what my husband was saying. But 1 thing I was sure of was that the manager don’t have the courtesy to settle things with us. To the owner of this place my kind advice that you either need to change your manager or you’ll have to loose your...
Read moreWaited quite a while for food to arrive. Ordered the poori set but the poori was hard and seems to be heated up after being frozen. No 'puffiness'. I have ordered the poori set prior to this visit but it came burnt. Such poor quality is unacceptable especially given the premium charged. Also, the cutleries were not properly cleaned.
Waited in the queue (which is along the 'sweets' counter) to pay at the counter. Upon my turn to pay, the personnel behind the counter - Sivakumar, accepted payment of another person who cut the queue although both Sivakumar and the person, very well saw me in line. Sivakumar also conveniently ignored my comment and proceeded to settle the person's bill. I did not create a scene to be civil.
When this transaction was done, I asked Sivakumar where was the queue. With a snobbish look, he said 'There is no queue. You do not have to queue.' I was astonished to hear his reply, and said 'If I ever come back, I will remember this', paid my bill and left.
Overpriced food, poor hygiene and worst of all - pathetic and...
