Hotel Marsol — Hotel in Jalisco

The Hotel Marsol is conveniently located next to the Playa Los Muertos Pier and the Malecon in Olas Altos part of Puerto Vallarta (Romantic Zone). It is surrounded by numerous shops and cafes/restaurants and offers easy access to many things to see & do in Old Town. The hotel's staff are pleasant, and the inner courtyards with its pool + seating are nice. The rooms are simple and the furnishings inside are rather timeworn... hence the considerably lower rates for its beachside spot (note that the adjacent hotels = 2-3x the price). Our 3rd floor room faced the Francisco Rodriguez street (closed to traffic, albeit a very busy thoroughfare for strollers) and it was rather noisy (nice to view the goings on below from our balcony, but not recommended for light sleepers). There is a market within the lobby on Saturdays, and morning dance classes are available for guests too. It seemed that lots of ex-pats were staying long-term in the bigger suites facing the sea (so these rooms might be difficult to obtain for short term visitors?). Las habitaciones son muy grandes pero también muy sucias, hay moho en la ducha y en todo el baño. Ver foto. Las sábanas estaban manchadas y cuando pedimos nuevas nunca llegaron. Fuimos al OXXO a comprar un spray desinfectante Lysol y un litro de lejía para usar en el baño. Dos camas y una almohada en la habitación - Ver Foto. Fuimos al lado a cenar a la playa y cuando regresamos la habitación estaba a oscuras, encendimos las luces y vimos bichos por todos lados. Nos quejamos con el recepcionista que no hizo nada. La calle fuera de nuestra habitación era muy ruidosa hasta las 2 de la madrugada. Salimos temprano para ir a otro hotel calle arriba y no nos reembolsaron el dinero. ¡¡¡¡Ausentarse!!!! Si te gustan las habitaciones sucias, el mal servicio y la gente que acepta tu dinero, este es el lugar para ti.

The rooms are very large but also very dirty, mold in the shower and throughout the bathroom - See Photo. The sheets were stained and when we asked for new ones they never came. We went to the OXXO to buy a Lysol disinfectant spray and a litre of bleach to use in the bathroom. Two beds and one pillow in the room - See Photo. We went next door to have dinner on the beach and when we returned the room was dark, we turned on the lights and we saw bugs everywhere. We complained to the desk person who did nothing. The street outside our room was very noisey until about 2AM. We left early to go to another hotel up the street and they would not refund our money. Stay Away!!!!
