I will start with the fact that the atmosphere is beautiful. from this restaurant, you have a great view of the sunset, and there is plenty outdoor and indoor seating. we happened to go on a day where they had live music, which was nice! also liked that they had vegetarian options and took card if you ordered over 500 pesos worth of stuff. the food was as follows: -queso fundito was good -guacamole was OK; wish it had more seasoning (salt, etc) in general -chile relleno was OK; could use more flavor -rice, beans, and veggies that come with most meals: OK. veggies were not flavorful -lobster: very brown. the tail was the only edible part, which was too bad. was OK if dipped in sauce. -fish filet: OK when dipped in tartar sauce. could use more seasoning -garlic bread: good -shrimp: the star of the show the restaurant overall seemed busy with a party, so we had to flag down our server to order things and ask when our food was coming (it took around 30 minutes). when my food came out, it was wrong, which is forgivable. the 2nd time it came out, it was wrong again, but I just settled since I was so ready to eat/ it had been 40+ mins of waiting. overall recommendation is to season the food & maybe hire more staff. still tipped cause we aren’t monsters or anything.

Our expectations were high after reading previous reviews about the food and the service here. Unfortunately, it must have been Emilio and Jorge’s night off. Our waiter was rude from the start. We sat down and ordered drinks and we weren’t quite feeling food yet but he insisted that we order something to eat, so we did. And then he said that wasn’t enough and he insisted we order something else. It should have been our sign to get up and leave right then but we have been coming to PV for 26 years and this is the first time ever we have been treated poorly or told to purchase anything so we were kind of in shock. We ordered more food to satisfy him so we could finally have some peace. The rest of the time were there he did just enough to provide some service but there was no friendliness or kindness at all. To top off the evening, when it came time to pay the bill by card, the young lady came out to the beach with the payment equipment and he stood over us as she was asking about a tip. We tip generously for good to great service, but he didn’t provide it, so we tipped appropriately. He made it obvious he wasn’t happy. We won’t be back.

****We had the kitchen cook up a big mess of Mahi Mahi the guys caught on a recent trip out on the bay. Soooo good! Bring your catch here and they will cook it 2 -3 different ways, serve it with rice, veggies and garlic bread for $200 a person. The BEST! I posted some pics of our catch**** We LOVE this place!! We stayed at a neighboring hotel and went to Langostinos just about every day. They offer beach chairs to customers who come spend the day and a little money in the restaurant. We'd come for coffee, breakfast and lunch and hang out on the beach. Great coffee and for lunch every day I had the avocado boat stuffed with HUGE shrimp for something like 150 pesos... super good deal. Langostinos sits on a busy stretch of the beach on the Malecon, almost to the pier. It's a great place to lay around enjoying the sand and surf, the people and the food. Will DEFINITELY return. Sending a big shout out to Lucy and Eric!! See you next winter!!

Used to love this restaurant. But the last few times we went have been HORRIFIC!!! Last night we had a reservation and they said there was no reservation on their books. So they said us outside on the beach. We waited 20 minutes and not a single person came over to either take our order or to even give us some water or let us order a drink. We stopped two waiters after the 20 minute mark asking if we could please order or at least get some drinks. Both of them separately from the other said sorry they were not our waiter but they would send our waiter over. Nobody ever came! 30 minutes of sitting there on the beach with music blaring so loud we literally had to almost shout at each other to be heard we finally just got up and left. The last time we went the service was equally horrible and took forever just to get a drink and then even longer to order food and we were there for an eternity waiting for food. And once again, the speakers are blaring either disco music or some other very loud pounding music so loud you can't barely talk to people at your table! We love their food but apparently we can't get it anymore because nobody will wait on us. And the atmosphere is just awful! We are on the beach, we would love to hear the waves or at least some music that is in the background and not blasting our ears out! We come to talk to our friends and have a conversation not to listen to old blaring music in a low quality speaker Sorry, last time ever...

This is by far the worst My family and I have ever been treated. I would give it a zero if I could. Do not come here. They don’t tell you ahead of time that went a specific mount of tip, but they will add it to your bill and put optional net to it but still expect a specific tip amount. The waiters are extremely disrespectful. They brought us the check and my mom left a tip. They came back and said they needed more. We explained that we were running low on cash and plus the receipt says optional tip amount. The guy started yelling at us and told us that they don’t make as much money as we do. They just made an assumption that because we’re not from there we make a lot of money. we asked to talk to the manager to explain. The manager didn’t even bother to come talk to us. He just stood there and watched. The waiter came back and threw the tip at my mom and said keep your money. It was the most embarrassing thin ever. In the US you would have been fired for that. All the employees stared at us and talked behind our backs while we walked away. They acted like we didn’t pay for the bill. If you want a fix amount then maybe they should state that ahead of time instead of just assume. Plus we did tip. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere l. Plus the food wasn’t that great it was very...

Beautiful spot for dinner. Sitting on the beach! However, after reading good reviews, was surprised by the poor food quality. I had the Mahi Mahi. Supposed to be cooked in garlic butter. It was served with white rice and mixed vegetables. The fish was way overcooked, seasoned with salt and pepper, and too much salt. Not a hint of butter or garlic. The rice was a gloppy mess. Unseasoned, watery goo. The vegetables were the only redeeming thing. Nice and crisp. My friend went for spaghetti and sauce, and said it was mediocre at best. The service was good, but unsettling. There was a young lady who was literally running the food out. My meal, I thought, was going to end up in my lap as she basically flung the dishes onto the table. It did not make for a relaxing meal watching her run back and forth from the beach to the kitchen. The manager (?) came out to check on patrons, I told him the fish was way overcooked and rice inedible. He offered to have it redone, which I agreed to. He explained that everyone was having a hard time getting workers. The meal was delivered, I'd asked for no more rice. The fish was cooked better, but still no garlic butter. Veggies were great. Interestingly, the manager never came back to check.

I do not recommend this spot, except maybe for a drink...
