I was the victim of a ROBBERY in my room and of DECEIT by hotel officials. Being on vacation with my family with 8 rooms in this hotel. They took 1,300 dollars from my safe deposit box in complicity with the administrator of the Hotel Julia. After noticing the missing item and calling the authorities and almost 3 hours after the incident and not finding the person in charge of the security cameras, the hotel administrators Julia and what they said was the hotel lawyer informed me that the employee in charge of cleaning and of which I suspected that he would have confessed to the crime but that he had no way to return the money since he had sent it to his mother, so they would help me somehow correct the situation with the money that they would have in cash in reception and they would leave the employee at the orders of the authority to be prosecuted, but all this was a DECEIT. A few hours later and after leaving the city due to my trip, I proceeded to ask Julia to send me the report to claim the credit card travel insurance but they only sent me the incident where I told the facts but not the.of.the.hotel where the employee had admitted the robbery, so I had to call the police officer who informed me that the hotel indicated that they would have compensated the damage of their employee by paying me the money that you had stolen from me, which is not true. I will proceed to take this situation to the last consequences with Booking even with the chancery of my country because I am completely convinced that the hotel was complicit in the robbery but even worse that they deceived me and that they made me believe they were on my side to cover up their lack and they made fun of me and my family with the DECEIT of finding the culprit and bringing him to the attention of the authorities. I will send my reviews to trip to yumm and to any platform so that I try to avoid others being victims of this hotel. I checked in other pages the opinions and it is not the only case. DONT GO...

Man befindet sich außerdem in "Little Italy".

Just came back to Playa Del Carmen for the first time since the pandemic and there are some changes you need to know about before you come. Principally, that if you rent a car you can't park ANYWHERE in the centro without paying per hour. Most of the hotels in the area don't have parking so if you are comparing room prices make sure you add in the additional 6-7 dollars per night for parking in the area. It is 10 pesos per hour and you can only pay for 6hrs at a time, meaning that from the 10am to 10pm window that you have to pay to park, you're going to have to visit the meter again. This is not the fault of the hotels but if you want a better solution they are the ones who are going to have to bring it to the attention of the officials. Either that or they need to validate the parking.

The worst part is nobody told us before we pulled up. We used to live here for 4 years so that kind of thing isn't necessarily shocking but still very annoying. This is new to PDC and with the uptick in narco activity, abusive taxi price hikes, and things like this, its like they don't want people coming down...

I stayed here for a few nights in November 2022. Whilst I had a great stay, and would use this hotel again, there are a couple of things I had to mark it down for. The rooms in this place are huge and very comfortable. However the bathroom setup is something that I couldn't get over. Whilst there's plenty of space, in the bathroom door, there was a vent which made it easy to see through when someone was using the bathroom (and not very sound proof). Likewise, above the toilet, there was an open window that couldn't be closed onto the outside walkway, so anyone walking past your room could hear you. Also, if you're a light sleeper to light, the air conditioning buttons lit the room up throughout the night. The location of the hotel is great. It's right on Avenue 5, close to plenty of amenities. Unfortunately this is also it's downfall. The rooms are not very soundproofed, so the music from the clubs and restaurants was very loud into the night. It had a few extra amenities such as a pool, sunbeds, breakfast room and lounge, which were all very nice touches.

Absolutely amazing experience!!! The staff was so accommodating, we arrived several hours before check-in, and while a room was not ready they let us swim in the pool while the room was being prepared. The hotel is so cute & charming itself, we saw a resident iguana by the pool on our first day & the kids loved it. We also took the ADO in and were planning on taking it back, but changed our minds. The front desk helped us arrange a taxi for airport transport within 48hr of our departure. The best staff! I read other reviews complaining of noise but we didnt hear *a thing* at night from Quinta Aveninda, only some minor construction in the mornings. (There is a new complex being built next door but only during normal construction hours) The breakfast was delicious & came out quickly. The location was absolutely perfect! One block off of 5th and two blocks from Mamitas Beach Club, it was so walkable! I would love to come stay again in the future. We felt so welcome & had a great time!

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. We found the swan decoration on our bed when we arrived, it was beautiful and my wife loved it. The staff was very friendly and they had free breakfast every morning. It is very pretty and only 1 block walk to the gorgeous white sandy beach! Was so much fun on 5th Street, which is also only 1 block away and is basically a mile long closed off road filled with stores, restaurants, bars, and pretty much the main section of town where you can walk and take in the beautiful town. It was so beautiful that my wife and I almost decided to move there!
