I have been eyeing Hotel Panamera for a while now on instagram and once we pivoted our holiday plans last min to TULUM I reached out to see if they’re dog friendly. They responded immediately that the hotel isn’t but they now have bungalows on the sand at their Tuup property that allows pups while having access to all the hotel amenities. ||I was skeptical given the reviews and as I work in hotels, I am definitely particular with where I stay. With that being said, for the price, Tuup is an incredible value. Now if you’re looking for a 4 or 5 star room then no, it’s not for you. If you want organic, an insanely comfortable bed, directly on the sand attached to the most chic hotel with amazing food and service then Tuup is incredible and for you. ||The rooms - yes they’re rustic. They could use some updates and if you can’t climb stairs then definitely choose the lower level. We opted for upstairs and we wEre SO happy we did. The views and vibe were amazing. We did have a night w heavy rain and yes we got some drips in the room, whatever. There is a sewer smell from time to time. Again, there’s that all over Tulum even at our boujee dinner at Hartwood it smelled awful!! While we were there they were updating doors and they installed hooks for clothing and hung our clothes up. Housekeeping was amazing and the bed was sooo comfortable. I would suggest more towels in the room but I’m sure you could request. ||Staff = huge shoutout to Santiago & David. Both made us feel so welcome and we’re huge resources. They performed the best service, we’re so friendly and on top of things. Food and drinks were not cheap but no more you expect from any other well known destination but at least it was all incredible so I never regretted a dime. The spicy margs were amazing and we had a chicken soup for dinner I could eat every day. ||My only suggestion would be communication for Tuup guests and that will come. For example, I tried to charge things to my room & they said bc it’s not allowed and they said I don’t have a hold. So every single cocktail, coffee, meal etc was individually paid. Then I go to check out and he said there’s a $500 hold on your account and I need to rectify all these tickets. I had to pull up my credit card and pray that it would all work out as it was a decent amount of money I had paid one by one. They also use what’s app which is incredible & soooo convenient but at the beginning they said we can send ice to your room then said that’s not not for Tuup guests , no big deal but just all things to be aware of at Tuup so you can have an easy vacation. We just went to the bar though no big deal once we knew - it’s again just getting all the communication right. ||Overall Tuup is an absolutely amazing value and I cannot wait to...
Read moreWe loved our stay. After reading some of the negative reviews, I can only assume that there have been renovations and changes over the last year. My only complaint is that they advertise “access to Panamera facilities” which is misleading. You still have to pay to access the pool and beach club, just like everyone. That being said, we absolutely loved our ocean view room, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and cute terrace. To me, this was the PERFECT beach vacation. The music was off by 10:30 pm and we were able to sleep really well (they might have implemented a curfew and/or soundproofed the rooms). It’s semi rustic and unpretentious, and yet one of the cutest hotels in the area. For the price of approx. $120-$150 a night, it is fair (compared to other hotels here) so we’ll definitely be coming back! The staff was great (Jessica was lovely and so helpful!). Huge plus: it’s pet friendly and we were able to share this experience...
Read moreWe stayed in the bungalows next to the hotel proper, but the staff and other amenities were excellent and at our disposal. From the moment we checked in, the staff was friendly and accommodating. We brought our little dog down to Mexico for the first time this year, so that was a big reason we stayed at this location: We got to bring Remy! He loved being on the beach so much, I can't imagine ever leaving him behind again. The beach is less manicured than other parts, but that matters little when the waters & beach are still so beautiful. Our room had amazing views, was clean, tidy, had a safe for important things like passports, and it was comfortable and cool. We stayed over a weekend (Friday & Saturday night), but it was quiet and relaxing (not loud at night). Food at the restaurant was good as well. Look no further if you want a nice easy weekend...
