hostel world rooftop marrakech — Hotel in Marrakesh Prefecture

PLEASE GUYS AVOID THIS HOSTEL - IT'S A SCAM.

-Since the first minute we had problems: our room with the private bathroom did not exist, so they gave us a small and dirty room that they use for emergencies. The next day they moved us to another "normal" room but without the private bathroom we had paid for.

-During our stay we found that overbooking is the norm in this riad, other people had problems too.

-I don't suggest to book tours here, the prices are similar to other agencies but to earn more they sell the cheapest solution: our quads were destroyed and dangerous, and the desert tour also had many extras not included that we were not warned about.

Last sad note, the fake friendly attitude of the owner. When we pointed out to him that overbooking is not a professional practice he responded in a disgusting manner saying: "welcome to Africa, I'm a business man" 🤮

Definitely the worst hostel of my life, run by the least professional people...

I'm a young girl and I was looking for a safe place in the Medina of Marrakesh, and trusting the positive reviews I chose this hostel. !!! Worst choice I could have made !!! As soon as I arrived, my room with private bathroom didn't exist. I was placed in a sort of tiny room, full of mold, cracks and dust. The next day I was promised the room I had paid for in the morning (it was given to me at 3pm) and again, no private bathroom (they do overbooking). The money was not returned to me, but they gave me "discounts" if I booked the tours and activities with them. Both were cheap, disappointing and not worth it. A super place to stay in Marrakech. My girlfriend and I had checked into a neighbouring hostel (Riad Assou, run by the same people) only to find Hostelworld had for some deleted our booking without telling us and our room was gone. We were quickly found accommodation here in the Hostel World Rooftop Marrakech and had two wonderful nights.
