Hotel Le Rocher Marrakech — Hotel in Marrakesh Prefecture

This review is for the rooftop at this hotel. If you want to waste a night in Marrakesh come here. The hookah was TERRIBLE. It took forever to come and the service was the worst I had my entire trip. We were seated and approached by one server. After we put in our order, another server came to take our order again. Apparently, the other server no longer wanted to serve us. You serve hookah and tea with no alcohol… how can you be selective. We should’ve left right after that but we didn’t want to stress the night. After an hour waiting on the hookah, it was terrible. The flavor wasn’t good at all especially not for the wait. Also it was not busy at all. There were 8 servers on the floor and one guy doing the hookah and he clearly needed help. A nice stay in a great hotel in a high-end part of Marrakesh, not too far from the tourist sites. The room was nicely appointed and I appreciated the 1.5L bottle of water that was replenished each day in the room. The minibar is also stocked with sodas for a cost of around 30MAD depending on your choice.

Bed was firm but comfortable. Unfortunately they are currently doing construction across the street, so that noise started early one morning. I probably could have requested a room further away from that.

Breakfast in the accompanying restaurant was a huge amount of food and quite tasty. The restaurant staff was very nice as well and this is included in the cost of the room.

The entrance of the hotel is not on the Main Street, but around the corner, so keep...

Belle chambre et propre

Points négatifs :

1. On ne nous a pas prévenu qu'il y avait des travaux à côté donc on a eu droit au marteau piqueur très tôt le matin pendant les deux jours. Réveil désagréable !
2. Nous avons pris trois nuits et nous avons demandé à la réception d'annuler le dernier pdj car nous avions l'avion très tôt le matin. On nous a dit que notre pdj serait mis dans une box. Le pdj est sous traité à l'établissement à côté Huqqa, valeur 130dh par personne (environ 13 EUR). Nous avons pris les pdj des deux premiers jours chez Huqqa et choisi la formule Le Mels en box pour le 3eme pdj du départ à 6:30. Arrivée à l'aéroport j'ai découvert dans la box : une pomme, une banane abîmée et deux mini viennoiseries (le jus d'orange n'était pas sécurisé, il a traversé le sachet papier et est tombé). Donc 13 EUR pour n'avoir quasiment rien à manger. J'ai contacté l'hôtel pour obtenir les 26 EUR de remboursement de ces pdj que nous ne souhaitions pas au départ, mais comme on nous a dit qu'on a aurait le même pdj que la veille à emporter…au final une belle arnaque ! L'hôtel a refusé de rembourser. Il faut prévenir les clients pour arrêter...
