Twelve of us spent a luxurious week at Palais Khum and we all loved it! This was my 5th time in Morocco and my second time staying at Palais Khum. As someone who works in a people industry, I know what to expect, I understand the cultures, and I also let my guests know what to expect. I lead wellness and culture retreats. We did stretching, yoga, and meditation on the beautiful rooftop in the mornings.|Our meals were wonderful. The wait staff, chef and kitchen team is talented. The couple times there were mix-ups (a large group eating there numerous times in one week - that is bound to happen) they were fixed immediately and with grace. The wait staff is notably attentive and warm. |The rest of the team who took care of us were always ready to help with a smile. Communication was clear. Reservations that I requested were all handled professionally. Our trip was smooth and largely because of the Palais Khum team working so well with me. |The space is beautiful! Spending a whole week in a place, you want a little room to spread out, and traditional riads do not supply that. Palais Khum offers space that we need, beautiful decor that combines traditions with modern. |The neighborhood is quiet, but sometimes there can be noise in the front rooms. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, or reserve one of the other rooms. The location makes it easy to get to all the sites within the Medina and also easy to get close transportation. |I loved it, as did my 11 guests! I will definitely be going back with...
Read moreWe stumbled across this place on our way to the foundouks. Looking for somewhere for a little afternoon drink, we slipped into what we thought was a restaurant on the Route Sidi Abdelaziz. Once inside, we were lead to a very beautiful and tranquil court yard, with a big date palm tree, and comfortable seats. We were so well taken care of by the manager, Abdul, that we decided to return the next day for lunch (Abdul gave us the choice to sit on the roof terrace and I am glad we did - it was peaceful, with lemon trees and jasmine everywhere) and a spa and massage session, which I can say was a divine experience and we thought prices were very reasonable. This was followed by a dip in the beautiful heated pool. Abdul even brought us cakes and tea by the pool!
Overall I thought the spaces in this riad was decorated in a very elegant way - it has a certain grandeur which is modern and not over the top like others. Service was excellent - every detail has been thought out and smoothed over. We look forward to return maybe as staying guests in the future....
Read moreFound this place when walking to the Bacha Cafe and asked about the deals they display outside and went to ask about it, they told me the times for lunch and dinner with access to the pool, and asked if needed booking which they told me its not necessary. Opted for the dinner time as still was on my waiting time for the Bacha Coffee and would make it to lunch period. Came back a few hours later and they told me they no long have the dinner + access to the pool package ( despite having asked for that a few hours later) and took me one hour to get back to this place to be informed they dont have it anymore, but could book for the next day. Came back two days after for the lunch package with access pool only to be told by the same rude guy that they dont have it today, while the place was basically empty and the guy was very sarcastic. Looks they have the display just as a tourist scam. Wouldnt recomend it, would recomend Le Jardins du Lotus instead, which...
