I am sure that when you see pictures of the courtyard of this Riad you will fall in love with this location. That's what happened to me. But it is not only the central area with that centenary orange tree the only thing to highlight of this space.
I have been several times in Marrakech and the area where Riad Botanica is located is perfect. Many of the interesting things that Marrakech has to offer are a stone's throw from this Riad and this is a detail to take into account.
The decoration of the rooms is a delightful mix of Moroccan and Australian art deco styles. The owners are an Australian-Moroccan couple, Angela and Mohamed. Mohamed will explain with a map the main places to visit if this is your first time in Marrakech and makes sure you will not miss anything during your stay. He helped me by also suggesting me different transportation possibilities for the destinations in Morocco where I wanted to go on this trip.
The bed in my room was super comfortable and the lamps cast a super special light in the room, making it very cozy. The shower is wonderful, with lots of pressure, just the way I like it, and in the bathroom you have candles and scent sticks.
Coming back from touring the area, I tried some delicious snacks on the rooftop of the Riad right at the golden hour in Marrakech. The sky suddenly transformed during sunset leaving a very special atmosphere with spectacular colors. The next day, I had breakfast on the same rooftop and it was epic. Don't look any further. If in your search or through recommendations you have stumbled upon Riad Botanica, do yourself a favor and book it, it will not leave you indifferent!
As for the decoration and aesthetics, it is one of those places where you can clearly see that there is a lot of love and attention to detail in every corner of the space. And as for the service, the owners understand perfectly the meaning of the term hospitality elevated to the maximum expression, congratulations for that!
Many thanks to all Angela, Mohamed and team for your warm welcome and kindness. I hope to visit you again soon and I wish you the best of luck with this project,...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Riad Botanica with my family during our first visit to Marrakech, and it was an absolutely enchanting experience. From the moment we stepped through the doors, I was captivated by the stylish ambiance, meticulous attention to detail, and the warm hospitality of our host, Mohamed.
Riad Botanica is a true gem, combining traditional Moroccan architecture with modern elegance. Every corner of the riad exudes charm and sophistication, with intricate tilework, beautifully carved wooden accents, and lush greenery that creates a serene and inviting atmosphere. The riad is exceptionally well maintained, and the care put into its upkeep is evident in every aspect.
The location of Riad Botanica is also perfect. Situated in the heart of Marrakech, it offers convenient access to the city's vibrant souks, bustling Medina, and iconic landmarks. Yet, despite its central location, the riad manages to provide a tranquil oasis away from the lively streets, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploration.
However, what truly sets Riad Botanica apart is the exceptional hospitality provided by our host, Mohamed. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. His genuine kindness, attentiveness, and wealth of knowledge about the city were invaluable. Whether it was recommending hidden gems to visit, arranging transportation, or offering personalized touches, Mohamed's impeccable service made our stay truly unforgettable.
We thought the accommodations at Riad Botanica were exceptional. The room was comfortable and impeccably decorated.
I cannot recommend Riad Botanica enough. It is a haven of tranquility in the heart of Marrakech, offering a perfect blend of style, convenience, and above all, the warm and genuine hospitality of Mohamed. If you are seeking an exceptional experience in Marrakech, look no further than Riad Botanica—a true paradise that exceeded all my...
Read moreI am a travel agent and retreat guide of 12 years. I am always on the hunt for boutique hotel experiences that bring together the elements of beauty, truly local encounters, elegance and simplicity, and I LOVE a venue that is cared for and curated by the owners. Places where the owners are present and engaged and you can tell it is their BABY.
Riad Botanica is simply spectacular. Mohammad's brother came to meet my taxi when I arrived with the warmest smile. He guided me to the hotel and the moment I saw their beautiful little sign I knew I was in for a treat.
At my first dinner Mohammed (the owner along side of his wife Angela) told me "behind every door in Morocco is an oasis" and this place is an oasis.
The front door gives way to a gorgeous jewel box like room that opens up to the garden courtyard. If you don't know this open air garden in the center is what defines a riad. In the center of this Riad is a gorgeous orange tree reaching for the sky and this orange element is woven into the decor by the keen and talented eye of Angela and her design work.
Striking black and white elements and colorful rooms make for eclectic decor that I was so taken with.
The dinner offering is gorgeous, the breakfast abundant, and the tea is always flowing.
Mohammed and Angela welcomed me like family. And it was one of my favorite connections I made during my weeks exploring Morocco. Every detail is attended to and it was just delight every day.
I totally fell in love so much so that I'm offering multiple retreat in collaboration with the hotel going forward and headed back in a few short weeks to spend more time at this gem.
I stayed at many riads in Marrakech and so many are stunning and this place has that special personal something that cannot be faked.
It's good people, beauty, and operated from heart. Don't hesitate and maybe I'll see...
