We loved this place! I emailed to find out pricing and availability, and the owner Anna was very responsive. We also reserved a taxi from the airport directly with Anna, which was 15 euro. A driver was waiting for us outside just as she said. I would definitely recommend booking your taxi this way as arrivals can be overwhelming and the airport taxis confusing and not always honest. Yassine met us where the taxi dropped us off, since cars can't get super close to the riad, and helped transport our bags there. We were then served mint tea & cookies in the beautiful courtyard overlooking the pool with cozy couches and tables.||||We were in the Oasis room (on the main floor) which had a double bed plus a twin and a large bathroom with double sinks and large rainfall shower. The toilet has its own door within the bathroom. There was not really much storage in the room - just a few hangers and some shallow shelves. We didn't need more but just something to note. The decor of the room and of the entire riad seems traditionally Moroccan, with lanterns, poufs, tiles, and tapestries. The rooms are rather dark, which I think is due to the traditional lighting, but it did make it difficult to put on makeup. Everything was perfectly clean. Because all the rooms open to the courtyard, it can be noisy - zero street noise tucked away from the square, but you will definitely hear other guests coming & going as well as a few roosters and also the Islam call to prayer.||||Morocco has a ton of street cats and there are several very friendly ones living in the small alley by the riad.||||We had the included breakfast every day on the rooftop terrace which is a gorgeous haven! If we had spent more days in Marrakech, we would have loved to sit up there during the day to read and sunbathe. Breakfast is not a buffet but includes fruit, Moroccan pancakes, some type of egg, baguette, another type of bread or cake (different each day), fresh orange juice, and a hot drink of your choice. It was a ton of food!||||Marrakech is a maze of small alleys, but Yassine gave us a very detailed turn-by-turn map including pictures to get to & from the Jema el Fnaa square. It is a less than 10-minute walk. He also gave us sightseeing and restaurant recommendations plus a cell phone programed with his & Hassan's numbers in case of emergency. Yassine and Hassan as well as one more young man are at the riad 24/7 to help you with anything you need or also to just sit and chat. They were fantastic with our young son, and we really enjoyed talking to them. Yassine also helped to call us a taxi to the train station upon departure and then helped carry our bags, which due to some road construction would have been impossible for us while pushing our son's stroller!||||This was really the perfect choice for us and we were blown away by...
Read moreThe Bohemian Jungle is a beautiful aesthetically pleasing riad in an amazing location in the medina. ||||We organised a taxi transfer from the airport through Anna (the owner who is lovely and very responsive via messages/whatsapp) which was 15 euros which seems to be the going rate. We were dropped to a small parking area close to where we were staying where Hassan greeted us and helped us with our bags down the road (which is very helpful as the medina is like a maze so we would have struggled to find our way on our own).||||Our room was the Habiba suite on the ground floor by the pool. The central commune area is nothing less than stunning with a beautiful traditional turquoise Moroccan tiled pool, a soft lounge area and a hanging garden from the roof. The riad is like a quiet oasis in the middle of a very loud and busy city - inside you wouldn't even know you're right in the centre. It is situated right by a couple of mosques so do be prepared to be woken in the early hours (for us in September this was around 5:45am which is fine for us as we are early risers anyway). ||||Hassan made sure our entire stay was extremely comfortable. To say he was 'helpful' doesn't even come close - there is nothing too much to ask of him and he goes out of his way to make you feel at home both in the riad and in Marrakech. At check in he made us some mint tea and talked us through the main tourist sites on a map, and also handed us some very detailed instructions about how to get to the Jemaa el Fna square alongside a picture booklet in case you need a visual guide (very handy as some shops/restaurant signs in Marrakech are dangling above the street and are not always obvious at eye level). The service didn't stop after we checked out either as he organised a taxi for us to our next stop at the desert and then also our return journey to another hotel outside of the medina. I cannot stress enough how friendly and attentive he is. Hassan is a real credit to the riad.||||The Jemaa el Fna square is a short walk away (~10 mins) as are the souks. The riad is also very close to some nice restaurants (L'Mida is one of the best we had there).||||The wifi is good enough. My partner wanted to watch a big football match one evening and the speed wasn't quite fast enough but it was fine for everything else.||||The breakfast is lovely with a couple of moroccan pancakes each, fresh fruit, bread and yoghurt with more mint tea and freshly squeezed orange juice.||||Overall we would highly recommend this riad! It is so well priced, the service and location is great and it feels like you've walked into an Arabian...
Read moreWe had the most amazing time in Marrakech! The moment you enter the riad you feel like your in a 1001 night fairytale. The riad is so beautiful and everthing is arranged really good. Every little detail is thought off and it smells really good inside! We had our own private chauffeur Mustafa that we really loved. He was so relaxed and super sweet. The two Hassan's that work here and the owner of the riad Anne Marie are really lovely it felt like we knew them for years. The place is super central you can find the most populair restaurants nearby.||We would never get lost also because Hassan 1 and Hassan 2 picked us up and brought us to spots. And when we would need help we could also call/text them with the prepaid mobile phone that we borrowed from the riad. The breakfast is really good and when it's sunny the rooftop is super nice to have your breakfast there. ||We had te most amazing time! And there is still so much to explore in Marrakech so we need to come back to try one off the other beautiful rooms.||We really miss Mustafa, Hassan 1, Hassan 2 and Anne Marie. We can't wait to return to this Aladdin movie we where in!! Groetjes from Linda en Kelly from the...
