Nice, nothing special—same as any other rooftop in the Medina. It's something you'd expect from these places. This was my 7th rooftop in the Medina; so far, I had always encountered really nice staff and beautifully designed restaurants with good food. Here, it was the opposite.
The staff wasn’t rude, but I felt completely ignored—even though there were only two other guests when I arrived. Getting my order took forever. Then, after a really long wait, the drinks, aperitif, and main dish all arrived at the same time.
We didn’t receive any bread, even though I asked for it to go with the aperitif salad plate—which we got at every other place. The food was bland. We didn’t even touch the salad, as we were still waiting for the bread. Eventually, the waiter just took it away.
All in all, it wasn’t a great experience, but the worst part was that I got really sick a few hours later—ended up...
Read moreMy partner has food poisoning from this place - I luckily avoided this as my tagine was dropped on the floor (and a chair) while being served. The chicken was quickly picked up and taken away on the tagine dish while the vegetables and cous cous remained on the bench and floor in front of us... Shortly after this incident, a different waiter returned to our table with a tagine dish covered in chickpeas (which is not what I ordered). The same piece of chicken (I expect) was nestled within the vegetables and chickpeas and had quite clearly been microwaved! The staff did their best to make this right by offering us mint tea, biscuits and a bottle of water each when I sent the second dish back to the kitchen but this really isn’t good enough. We won’t be returning to this spot and would recommend that you avoid it too! There are plenty of other good alternatives in...
Read moreI stopped here because in this resturant beside the ubiquitous cous- cous you can eat also mexican tacos, hamburger or salads. Actually I had a Cesar salad, good in taste and size. On the roof top you have a good view of the local minaret tower, very peculiar at sunset. It was the first resturant I was given a red cloth napkin instead of a paper one. Prices of some things are on the high side in respect of cheaper locations. For an example a 1,5 lt of water I was charged a costly 25dh (in medina you can find it at 6dh). Aniway all meal (meat tacos with fryed potatoes + Cesar salad+water plus a couple of free cups of olives ) cost us 155 dh, still quite affordable and overall with a very good quality. One caveat: you may need time to find your right chair: they are handmade and assembled without glue so some are a...
