My husband and I came back yesterday from Marrakech . We stayed for 8 days at the Riad Touhfa Kasbah. |We had a FABULOUS time. Our room was clean. Comfortable and homely. Hafsa who is the manager of this beautiful well located riad was welcoming and did everything she could to make our stay wonderful. From the cook to the cleaners each member of staff, were always smiling, polite, courteous, helpful and friendly. |We also met the owner Yousef whilst staying at his wonderful Riad . He was so polite and lovely. For the last day he offered us an upgrade of our room it was a beautiful large family room. This was very kind. But we were so happy where we were settled in the room we had booked we thanked him and stayed the last night in our original room which was the " Marigold" room. It was cosy with great air conditioning and the room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was complimentary and beautifully made . I don't eat breakfast and I can't eat it due to stomach issues so I eat later in the day , but I came down on a couple of occasions as my husband does enjoy breakfast . |The Riad itself is fabulous. The pool had fresh clean water in it. What I loved about the set up of this Riad was the rooftop was great for relaxing in the sun , plus had a covered area to shield yourself away from the sun if needed. Then the cool fresh water pool was on the floor below they use cleaning products to ensure its sanitised , with the pool being on the second floor it ensured the water stayed cool. This set up was perfect. Some Riads we looked at, had the pool outside. In hot temperatures this wouldn't be comfortable. |They have a clean kitchen at the Riad with a fridge where you can put any of your fresh water, drinks and food in to store and they keep safe for you and on request they give them back to you when you want a drink . This was very convenient. |I would like to add, the Riad does not offer alcohol but anyone coming to Marrakech will understand hopefully their culture and respect this. But if you did want to bring your own alcohol they will happily put it in the fridge for you and you can request it whenever. |There was a security man there and I'm so sorry I didn't get his name. But he really did help us with our luggage on the last day yesterday. He took it all from us and helped us into the vehicle we had booked for the airport. It was extremely hot weather so a huge thank you to him. |MOST OF ALL WHAT I APPRECIATED WAS = I suffer with 4 INVISIBLE disabilities and out of all of them the worst is - ME/CFS coupled with Fibromyalgia. These really do have a detrimental affect not only physically but also psychologically on me . I battle with them daily after being diagnosed with them from catching Covid 19. |We arrived by a car we had booked from the airport and I felt so ill that I found it hard to walk and function. There is a short walk from where you get dropped off to the Riad. Hafsa the manager helped us get our luggage to the riad. Your able to communicate on what's app directly with her which is extremely helpful. |I suffered from the travelling so badly that it took 2 days for me to recover and I had to rest in the room at the beginning of the holiday. |I am not able to communicate well when I feel so ill at this point. Hafsa and the cook especially were very understanding and I would like to personally say a huge thank you to them for this. |I spent time talking to Hafsa and I have to say she is a wonderful, caring, kind, intelligent young lady who works so hard along with all the staff at the Riad. |If your thinking of a Riad that has that homely feeling and you want to be close to the centre without the noise.... then this is the Riad for you. |We used the pool there, the rooftop , dined there and if I could give more than 5 stars I would. |Prior to going to Marrakech I spent many days looking for a suitable Riad I ordered specialised customised ear plugs as I've read some of the reviews that mentioned noise outside. HONESTLY my ear plugs were not used to sleep or at all ! I didn't need them. I wake up easily with any noise. There was no noise at all. Yet we were so close to everything in walking distance. |We at times were out until late on excursions and we had a key to come back in anytime we wanted and security is there to ensure safety but also nearly every time we came close to the door it was opened from the inside. |I would not recommend a hotel in Marrakech. To stay in a Riad is the BEST way to embrace the true morrocon culture and to wake up and go to sleep knowing your in Marrakech with the beautiful morrocon furniture and decoration. |For anyone wondering about the comfort of the beds, at home we have a king-size Tempur mattress bed so we do love comfort. They don't do king-size BUT trust me, my husband is 6ft 1 and I'm 5ft 2. |He and I were VERY comfortable and slept very well. |Also the Television surprised us, so if you like to wind down in the evening after a long day of sightseeing, you can watch great films on the TV in your room or log in to your own Netflix and amazon prime. |The bathroom = very morrocon! LOVED the decor. The shower is strong with cool and hot water. No issues at all. My funniest experience was the toilet. Lol ! Clearly, same as Greece and other places in the world ( as we are very well travelled, this is our 5th holiday abroad in 12 months ) the toilet you cannot flush paper down. But you have a water spray to use and toilet paper basket . After day one I said to my husband I loved this hygienic way of life . Much better than in the UK. I now would like a bidet at home !! As I liked the cleanliness of their culture in this area. I wanted to mention this as it made me laugh each time and it is a clean way to live. Anyone who has not experienced it trust me at this Riad its hygienic and definitely made us laugh and think about life back home incorporating something similar in the way of a bidet. |On another note - Hafsa is incredibly helpful with excursions and will book online for you if you need her help. I did a lot of planning before going, but when there , she helped me with advice on clothes to wear to certain places and recommendations for places to visit I had not thought of. We saw and visited so many places and we truly had the full Marrakech experience, so a huge thank you again to Hafsa. |On a last note. Hafsa speaks VERY good English and is very intelligent for a young lady. She has not only done a degree but is also doing a masters in the line of work she is in. Her boss Yousef and her its clear to see that they have a great professional relationship and he values his staff and treats them well. |I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye on our last day to them both. But I am and will highly recommend them and their beautiful gem of a Riad to everyone . |I did the hard work for days looking for the perfect Riad. So if your reading this, look no further. |5 stars and more from myself and my husband. |Thank you we miss you all , and as soon as we left we were sad to go and we still do miss...
Read moreA beautifully decorated Riad in Kasbah which is hidden away from all the hustle & bustle.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and happy to help where required. We were welcomed with tea and Moroccan sweets.
The Riad is very clean and our room was cleaned everyday with new towels, even when it didn't need to be. We were very greatful for this as there were a lot of ants in the room. Not sure how they got in, but they got to our sweets which we left on the bedside table throughout the night.
The breakfast was lovely and the fruit was so fresh. Breakfast is only served between 8am-10am which can be a little inconvenient when you are going out early for a day trip etc. On my previous trip to Marrakesh my Riad was very accommodating to the times for breakfast especially when it's included within your stay. We was also offered a take away breakfast for when we left earlier for the airport by the lady and she advised it would be a continental selection of breads and cheese, but when we checked out we was told this was not possible and not something they offer. Not the end of the world as we could eat at the airport but means we only had breakfast 2 out of the 4 days.
Overall, I would recommend this riad! Thank you for a...
Read moreDuring my delightful 4-night stay at this Marrakech riad, I was enchanted by the spacious and beautifully designed room that became a cozy haven. Its prime location, just a 10-minute stroll from Jemma El Fna, offered the perfect blend of convenience and tranquility. The rooms are clean and the linens and towels crisp whites.
A special highlight was the exceptional hospitality extended by Youssef, the owner. His willingness to go the extra mile to ensure my comfort was truly commendable. Youssef's personal touch was evident in every aspect of my stay, from accommodating special requests to seamlessly arranging transportation needs. His dedication added an extra layer of warmth to charming Riad experience. Highly recommend for those seeking not just accommodation, but an authentic and personalized...
