Hotel Himalayan Oasis — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

I was extremely pleased to discover this place by chance as my first in Kathmandu. I choose it for the rooftop and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel owner, Amit, and his friends became a great friends over the week and after evenings spent on the roof on the roof and by the end of my stay I felt part of the family! I felt so welcome here and would recommend it to anyone who is staying in thamel, especially if you are travelling by yourself. The hotel room itself is great value and nice for the price. Bathroom was a bit grubby, bedroom was good. Unfortunately I am now locked in a payment dispute as I was double charged by hotel management due to their negligence (they provided incorrect account details for me to make payment and then charged me again via booking.com when the funds didn’t arrive - there was no notice for this or attempt to resolve prior to second charge). We stayed there 3 nights and the most important thing about this hotel were nice and helpful staffs specially 2 gentelmen in the reception. |The room and mattress are clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good and served in a very nice place, the room was quite and the staff were wonderful.
