Access to Nepal
This is my 3rd time to Nepal and I still choose Access to Nepal to stay at. Though it’s not a 5 star, very new or fancy hotel, but with very affordable price, they always offer clean room and stable hot shower 24/7. And all the staffs are so nice and helpful, any help includes storage our luggages there for 14 days safely without any extra charge, or any problems for example refrigerator is not working or we need ice, just a phone call they will come to serve immediately. The front desk staffs is always so helpful, especially the staff Ram, I always can met him and get help, they may help us to lift the luggages or me and my trekking company often leave something in front desk to let each other to take it without have a fixed meet up time.
Even the security guides always help us to talk with taxi driver (we book taxi from Pathao App) our location in Nepali so as to make the communication efficient!
The bed, pillow and quilt are so comfortable to sleep so well always. Though things always have two sides, the hotel is in the center of Thamel so it’s so convenient to have food, shopping and there’s a convenient store you can buy anything there. But there are some bar near by so there may be some music during the night, but as for me, I close the window then it’s ok to sleep otherwise with earplugs...

The owner is really professional and determined to provide good service to the guests. We were supposed to have a airport pick-up facility from this hotel on the day we arrived in Kathmandu. The driver somehow miscalculated the date or time and we had to take a cab from the airport to hotel. The owner gave us full refund for our taxi fare which we never expected. All the rooms are sound-proof so that you won't have to worry about a good night's sleep even though Thamel is a lively place even at midnight. All the staffs are really friendly too. By the way, if you get a room, try to get it with breakfast. Their English breakfast menu is more than enough to start a good day in Kathmandu.
It was my first time in this hotel, but definitely...

I'm writing this review to warn anyone considering a stay at Access Hotel Nepal in Thamel, Kathmandu. This was by far the worst hotel experience of my life.
We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights. Despite the cold winter weather, none of the showers produced hot water. We reported this issue multiple times, but the staff only apologized and never fixed the problem. On the third day, unable to shower, we complained again. Their solution? Use the shower in a different room. Communication was also a major issue as the front desk staff had limited English proficiency.
All the power outlets in the rooms were loose and unusable. When we reported this, they provided a multi-plug adapter. This meant we had to rely on a single adapter for all our electronic devices. It's unbelievable that a hotel could be in such a poor condition. Is this even...
