4Stories is a thoughtfully designed space, divided into several areas. As you enter, there’s a cozy seating area and a coffee bar. To the right, just before heading upstairs, you’ll find the juice and smoothie bar, located right by the stairs. For hygiene purposes, it might be worth considering relocating this section or covering it, as it’s positioned directly beneath the stairway. This would enhance cleanliness and provide a more convenient setup for the staff.

As for the coffee, the quality can vary depending on the day and the barista on duty. Some days it’s fantastic, while other times it might not meet expectations. One suggestion for improvement would be serving hot coffee in mugs rather than glassware. Customizable mugs are available locally, and it could add a personal touch to the experience.

The food, however, is excellent. I’ve sampled several dishes, including Let’s Go Old School, Loaded Dillas, the crispy chicken burger, and the vegetarian steamed momos—all of which were delicious. However, I was slightly disappointed with the smoothie bowls, as what I received didn’t always match what I ordered.

The staff are wonderful—kind, gentle, and embodying the warm hospitality that Nepal is known for.

Where I felt there could be some improvement is in management, specifically communication and coordination. With a bit more attention to these areas, I believe the experience could be even better.

Overall, 4Stories is a great place to visit while in Kathmandu, especially if you’re staying in the Thamel area. It offers a variety of meals—breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner—as well as an excellent cocktail bar for those looking to relax...

Initial thoughts: This cafe is on my way while returning from work and I had been wanting to have a try at it. I am thoroughly impressed!

Food and Ambience: ▫️We ordered the Fluffy cloud cake (it's pancakes, not a cake 🤓) and the Breakie Pasta. Talking about the presentation, it came out very pretty 🥰. The pancakes were soft and airy. I was expecting maple syrup but, astonishingly was surprised by how nicely the salted caramel tasted in my mouth! The batter was sweet, and the contrast complimented well with the tanginess of the lemon curd👍. I also enjoyed the subtle addition of pomegranate and the seeds to add some crunchy texture!

▫️Talking about the pasta, I could tell the pasta was handmade. There was healthy amount of mushrooms and the consistency was just enough for me to slurp the dish😇. However, I got my poached eggs quite over cooked🙁, I would've liked them runny. But overall, the dish wasn't bad at all, I enjoyed every bite!

▫️The interior was really minimal and i really liked it because it compliments my aesthetic! The seats were cozy and we're spacious too👍 The addition of plants in the surrounding were subtle, but had a heavy impact (positively).

▫️ Conclusion: If you want a peaceful cafe nestled in the outskirts of Thamel, definitely give this cafe a try. Very nice with hospitality and comfort, a cute date spot without any noisy distractions. 4/5⭐ because there's always room for...

If you’re looking for the perfect place to chill in Thamel, 4 Stories is an absolute gem! The food here is consistently delicious, with a menu that offers a great mix of local and international dishes, everything has been full of flavor and served fresh. (chill vibes, mithoooo khana, ramailo setting, ani music pani just right)

The ambience is one of the main highlights, cozy, and thoughtfully designed across different floors, each with its own unique vibe. Whether you’re here for a relaxed evening or a lively night out with friends, it hits the mark every time.

Their cocktails and mocktails are top-notch, with a wide variety to choose from. Each drink is crafted with care, and the bartenders clearly know their stuff. If you’re into hookah, the quality here is genuinely impressive , smooth, flavorful, and available in many options. (Hookah sanga ramailo guff garna khojeko bhaye, this is the place to be!)
