Hotel Namtso — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

We stayed some days but it is sure never more. We cannot take hot shower, only at the day when sun shining enough sometimes warm shower. The water stinks now and then, not healthy at all. Despite of other people say the rooms and bathroom where dirty. The bed sheets with holes where used and not cleaned after used. We found black hair in the beds, from the users before us.. The staff is friendly until you complain about something, at that moment they start to use their second face and neglected your complain and make your stay more terrible. Paying Rs 1500 per day is much to high for this kind off """"hotel"""""". The staff makes a lot of noise, from early morning to late in the evening, not possible to sleep at that moments. Also lot of noise from outside, generators from neighbour and shouting people at street in the middle of the night. Also lot of noise from motorbikes without exhaust system almost every night. And horns from motorbikes and cars, police make noise without any reason in the middle of the night. The fans of different rooms make a lot of noise when somebody in a other room use the bathroom and swish on the light and with that the fan. The electrical system in the rooms work partly, very difficult to charge, and very dangerous to use because the sockets where melted inside. That is why the TV was not working. Location is good, very central in Thamel. No lift and hotel is on 2nd floor and above, though staff are helpful with bags. Rooms are fine, though a bit basic and small. We found that people smoking on the hallway outside neant loads of smoke came in the room, so be careful of this.

The breakfast was quite frustrating, it is included in the price which is good but they don't have a menu and the staff serving breakfast didn't speak much English so it's quite confusing what they offer. They mentioned on booking that there is a gym in the hotel, but its not. In our room were a lot of cockroaches. After we left the hotel, i opened my backpack and there were cockroaches coming out from it. The location is also not very easy to find. Google maps send you to other spots. Unfortunately our taxi driver also count find the hotel. We had breakfast included in the price, but when we were there, they didnt want us to gove a entire breakfast.
