We stayed at Kailash Boutique Hotel between January 18-26, 2025. First of all, I would like to state that the location of the hotel is very central. It is in the center of Thamel, a few steps away from very nice restaurants and shops. The street where the hotel is located is very quiet and calm. The hotel was brand new, spotlessly clean and safe. We felt at home. Upon our request, they upgraded us to a large family room with a view on the upper floors. Our room was cleaned every day, our water, tea and coffee, bed linen and towels were changed. The wifi never went out, we connected easily. There was hot water in the bathroom 24/7. The WC and bathroom were incredibly clean. Every morning, we had a very nice breakfast that included both traditional Nepalese dishes and all the elements of a western style breakfast. The young staff at the restaurant were extremely polite and attentive. They served us Masala Tea and Masala Omelette every morning. We are grateful to them. I would like to thank them very much for their friendliness. From the moment we entered the hotel, Manager Dol took great care of us. He arranged a free taxi from the airport to the hotel upon our arrival. On our return, he saw us off to the door and gave my wife and I two very valuable traditional Nepalese gifts. I would like to thank Dol, our friends at the restaurant and all the other Kailash Boutique Hotel staff. We really felt at home for 8 days. If you are going to stay in Kathmandu, Kailash Boutiqe Hotel is a great option. After your stay, you will understand why the hotel has a score of 10 out of 10. Thank you again. All...

The staff at this hotel are all incredibly friendly and warm. The location is excellent — very close to many attractions. The room we stayed in was spacious, with strong air conditioning and very clean. There were plenty of hangers, which is especially convenient for travelers who need to do laundry and hang clothes to dry. The room also had a hairdryer with powerful airflow — really impressive!

The hotel offers currency exchange services with decent rates, so if needed, it’s a convenient option to exchange money right at the hotel.

The hotel also provides travel arrangement services, and the manager, Mr. Dol Amgai, is exceptionally kind and enthusiastic. He helped us arrange airport transfers and even a full tour package to Chitwan National Park. He also organized our domestic flights from Kathmandu to Chitwan, Chitwan to Pokhara, and Pokhara back to Kathmandu.

What’s truly worth mentioning is that when our domestic flight was canceled due to weather, Mr. Dol Amgai promptly helped us change our transportation to a jeep, ensuring we could still reach the next city on time. He even arranged for someone from the team to come find us in person and lead us to meet the driver. This level of service is rare, and we are truly grateful for all the support he gave us in Nepal.

This hotel absolutely deserves a rating of more...

I’ve been visiting Kathmandu for years, and I’ve always stayed in Thamel. However, this time, I decided to try Kailash Boutique Hotel, and I must say that from the moment I arrived, everything was top-notch. Every detail, no matter how small, was taken care of with great attention.

The young lady at the reception was incredibly helpful with all my queries and needs. She provided detailed information and was always cheerful and friendly. I also want to mention the gentleman working the night shift, who went above and beyond to assist us with any question at any hour.

The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive, and the breakfast was exceptional—far beyond the usual standard in Nepal. The owner was also available every day to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. He was very approachable and professional, and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, he was involved in every aspect, making us feel like the experience was tailored just for us, not like just another guest.

Kailash Boutique Hotel is definitely my top choice, and I will certainly choose it again if I return to Kathmandu. It’s perfectly located, offering a peaceful atmosphere while being in the heart of everything. You can easily walk to all the main...

Staff The staff are very attentive and service-oriented. I arrived late on my first night and Puneet processed my check-in. He gave good recommendations for local food around the hotel. Mr. Dol, one of the owners and manager, is always on site and available to be consulted regarding your itinerary. He was very accommodating. Location It is tucked away from Thamel’s main traffic so it is very quiet. Perfect for a restful night. The location is also very central so it has good proximity to main sites. Breakfast Buffet The breakfast inclusion is substantial. The salads were always great. You can request the kitchen for omelettes of scrambled eggs. Apart from that, they usually have a selection of a sandwich - the mushroom bruschetta was very good, and an assortment of local dishes which are equally tasty and good. They also have an in-house cafe/restaurant at the front and they have a wide selection of cuisines to choose from. Value for Money Kailash Boutique hotel is great value for money considering the size of the room - very thoughtfully designed including a wide spot you can put a large luggage, the convenient location and good service.
