Purchased 2x GrabOne vouchers on Tue 10th Oct 17 which cost $55 each. The deal was for 2 people- 1 shared platter, 2 mains & 2 desserts as well as valet parking. We booked dinner for Thur 12th Oct 17. Reception staff were ok when we arrived compared to other reviews read on here. The setting was not what I expected, as like other reviews, this was a tiny restaurant squeezed in to a hallway! The young Indian lady who served us was very polite and soft spoken. When we were handed our menus I just about flipped out! The menu they had given us was different to that advertised on the voucher. I asked about this and the girl told us that they had 'changed the menu' 2 days prior. I purchased these vouchers specifically for the menu GrabOne advertised all to be told that they couldn't or wouldn't give it to me. There was only one other couple there at the time so I couldn't see why they could not give us what we paid for. There was no incentive offered or anything. Just a simple NO they have a different menu now. The menu provided was very basic and a downgrade from what we had paid for. My mum planned to have lamb shanks, she got a chop instead which she said was nice but shank would've been better. My fiancé thought he'd get a beef and reef. He got an ordinary steak slapped on a bed of potato with a powdered sachet tasting gravy (worst steak he's ever had he says). I got the chicken meal, nothing great about it. My mum in-law got Butter Chicken which she thought was ok, bit too sweet and thought the food court mall Butter Chicken was a lot better Manu from MKR voice That night, we gave the food a 2 out of 10. Dessert, 5/10. I did not want to make a scene as I would have 'ruined' our night out with our mums had I released my fury in there. I drank a glass of wine instead to cool off and vowed never to set foot in there again and to ensure that no one, especially people I know, never waste their money there again. Very disappointing! I feel robbed...
Read moreIf you're looking to impress a date by taking them here with your GrabOne voucher - spare yourself the shame. As soon as you find a table you'll have the waitress with no table manner come back and forth mentioning the voucher 100 times and go over the definition of a 3 course dinner (which is pretty common knowledge) YET she will also get that very confused and tell you what you CANNOT get on the menu in front of your date to the point where you feel as though you're oliver twist eating at the soup kitchen for free and your date is looking at you with bombastic side eye for bringing her there. But wait until the food gets to your table, you'll see its frozen veggies broiled and microwaved to perfection, the chef is gordon ramseys nemesis as he's a FRESH FROZEN devotee. There is too much more to say but I'll leave you with this..the whole experience is like something out of truman show where you're not sure if every staff member walked on site and just assumed the roles of waitress, chef, manager within a fee minutes of the time you arrived. Dining here will steal all of your swagger and make you question everything you ever...
Read moreWe purchased the 3 course meal deal through GrabOne and made a reservation the same day. Unfortunately the number provided was unmonitored but we booked via the reception. The service was excellent, the lovely staff served us and took our orders which came out very quickly.
We ordered the Seafood and Soup of the day for entree which came out within 10 mins, soup was very flavoursome and great portions I couldn’t finish it. We got the steak and lamb shanks. My partner said the lamb shank was delicate and flavoursome, whereas my steak was very rich and oily. However, the brownie and cheesecake dessert was 10/10. Not too sweet, great portions and served promptly.
Unfortunately, the restaurant has no privacy and is open space therefore the ambience is not the greatest, as you can see and hear the hotel guests getting in and out of the elevators. The bar is directly across and has an outdoor courtyard with construction happening. We didn’t stay at the bar but it’s very intimate and small. Overall good experience for a last minute find.
