It's my 1st. time visiting Philippines.On. June 6th.2022 we arrived at DWER,it was the most convenient located Resort I've seen from Station 1-3 for access to the beach!!
1_We had 2 different type of room(4 of us),both are CLEAN inside out.
2_All employees are very accommodating & respectful & speaking English/Tagalog.(Both at the Hotel & restaurant+Bar )
3_It seems most of people are crowded & picked to stay at Station 1,to me, I like DWER at Station 2, why? RELAXATION! We're on vacation! Why joint the crowds and traffic ?Yet a 3 mins WALK can take you to Station 1for all the actions or the Boracay landmark Willy's Rock! And back to a quiet/safe/clean Resort.
4_The DWER detached restaurant & Bar ( which standout compared to other 5 start resort)Is right ON the beach!! (BREATH TAKING VIEWS!). Offer the FRESHEST,not greasy & tastiest of Philippno food I've tried for the past 6 weeks in P.I...why would I say that? If you wonder..I must confess ,I did GAIN WEIGHT! And everyday or two,I've been eating out! (Buffets, restaurants, locally owned small eateries...ect).Friendly / alerting staffs and clearness and short wait times for the foods be served is satisfying!.......**Don't for to try freshly made nonadditive all fruit shakes and the Crispy Pata (similar to German Schweinshaxe). The tenderness and moist Pata/crispy skins is still memorable as I'm typing this review.
5_I see the management team making sure everything in the hotel/restaurant/bar are cleaned sanitized through out the day,not just the morning, and have 2 people get up 5:30 AM to pickup/sweeping all the garbage and seaweeds on the beach ,where others just ignore it ! ( Does anyone knotice? There's no garbage can anywhere on Station 1+3 ,people just litter and the seaweeds pileup on the rocks or edge of the water and smells awful!)
There're many fancier /newer / heavy discounted resorts in Boracay, but I hope more people willing give a try of the great experiences that I enjoy at Diamond Water Edge Resort. Support the hardworking local folks (6 day a week with some working 15 hours a day! And still putting up a SMILES!) ,that just endure 3 years COVID.
Be healthy &...

Our stay at Diamond Edge Hotel was frustrating from the start, and I strongly do not recommend this place to anyone expecting even basic service standards.
We booked six rooms in total and even paid for upgrades, trusting that we’d receive better care. Sadly, what we experienced was far from acceptable. The rooms were small, musty, and had an unpleasant odor. Maintenance and cleanliness clearly are not a priority here.
But what truly left a bad impression was the poor service at the front desk, especially from a receptionist named Joy. We politely requested to move our room to the one opposite my mother-in-law’s, which we saw was empty. The housekeeper told us to check with reception. When we did, Joy informed us that the room was “reserved for the duty manager,” who apparently rotates between rooms.
That was already disappointing — a hotel putting internal staff comfort over paying guests? But we accepted it and didn’t press further. However, we stayed for nearly three full days, and that room remained completely vacant the entire time. No one used it.
This made it painfully obvious: the hotel simply didn’t care about guest comfort or flexibility. Our request was dismissed without a second thought.
Joy remained polite, but it was clear that her priority was management’s convenience, not the guest’s experience. And unfortunately, this seems to reflect the hotel’s entire culture: they are all about the money, not about genuine hospitality.
Once they have your payment, you’re on your own. No sincerity, no effort to accommodate, no sense of guest-first service. Just rigid policies and a cold front desk that protects management more than it helps guests.
In short: • Smelly, cramped rooms • Inflexible and unhelpful front desk • Receptionist Joy prioritized the manager’s comfort over a guest’s simple request • Room remained vacant for 3 days while our request was ignored • Hotel is clearly profit-focused, not guest-focused
Don’t waste your time or money here. There are far better hotels that actually value their guests and treat you with respect. Diamond Edge Hotel is not...

It was a BAD exp. We waited over 30 mins before we get to our room. We arrived around 12pm from manila and the lady at the front desk said that the check in time was 2pm im aware of that so we went outside to have lunch and came back to the hotel 10 mins before 2pm.
Exactly 2pm we approached the front desk to check in and sign any paperworks needed but they said we have to wait for 5 more mins bcoz the manager is inspecting our room.
2:10pm we came back same lady and again our room is not yet ready so waited. This time im stressed already.
2:20pm we came back but we talked to a different person, suprisingly she said that our room STILL not yet ready because the prev guest extended more hours i was being agitated because they allowed the guest to extend when they knew we were waiting for our room how is this possible?? So instead to offer us a different room all she said is to WAIT AND A SORRY.
We stayed in the front desk standing there with no welcome drinks which there should be or just for the trouble instead they stayed away from us like not important at all and I paid for our room 1 month ahead in FULL for 9 days. Junior Suite "beachfront"
2:30pm we asked again same answer from the first that the manager is inspecting our room. I burst my patient voice and became sarcastic BUT they ignore it.
2:40pm i went to the front desk "IF OUR ROOM IS NOT YET READY IN 5 MINS I WANT FULL REFUND and she said "let me check" after checking the computer OUR ROOM IS NOW READY. After 40 mins finally.....
We checked out early and waiting for a refund for the remaining days
P.S. There were senior citizens who had the same exp as we were July 21st. I CANT IMAGINE THE SERVICE THEY OFFERED ITS UNACCEPTABLE
I have sooooo much to share like FOOD, ROOM, CLEANLINESS, and etc.
Is this how you treat your guest? Are we not important? Are you not happy with your job?
The mgt should hire new staffs or DONT BOOK IN THIS HOTEL NOT...
