Lugar Bonito Hotel - Boracay — Hotel in Malay

From the get-go, I would say the hotel exterior was modest and cute. I liked the theme and feel of the hotel. We discovered that the hotel was quite small, and had only 6 rooms in total.

In terms of the service, the staff was accommodating and easy to talk to. They provided us with instructions and reminders that were easy to understand. Whenever we requested replacements of necessities or water refills, they were quick to act (which we appreciated). For first-time travelers, they provide a little sheet containing recommended activities and restaurants you can peruse.

We got the Standard room and found that it was a bit small but clean and neat. We had to adjust and figure out how to utilize the layout of the room at first. However, if you prefer a bigger room with more walking space, you might want to check other room types they offer. And, I would have preferred if I had access to a window.

In terms of location, the hotel's location was a good one. It was in between Diamond Hotel and Shoretime. You can immediately access the beach once you cross the road. You can also reach D-Mall in about 5-8 minutes walk (depending on your pace). It is also not far from Willy's Rock, Smooth Cafe, Jonah's Shake, and Sunny Side Cafe. If you plan to take the 'Hop On Hop Off' bus, there is a stop sign right outside the hotel.

Thanks to a close friend’s recommendation, I chose to stay at Lugar Bonito for my first trip to Boracay as a solo traveler. I was both excited and a little nervous about what to expect, but my experience turned out to be wonderful.

The hotel offered a peaceful and comfortable stay. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, making me feel right at home. My room was clean, smelled fresh, and had everything I needed: hot water for the shower, fast Wi-Fi, a working cable TV, fully functioning power outlets, and an air conditioner that worked perfectly.

The location was perfect—Station 1 and just a short walk to the beach! There were also some great restaurants right across the road, which made dining out very convenient.

That said, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. There’s no outdoor space for drying clothes, which would have been really helpful for a beach trip. I also hoped the rooftop would be accessible for guests, as it would’ve been nice to enjoy the view or even work with a relaxing backdrop.

Additionally, the loud karaoke from the neighborhood was a bit distracting, even with the window closed, but this was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall experience.

I have been to Boracay four times now and by far this is the best vacation I ever been to. Lugar Bonito is one of the best accommodation i stayed at, from its very aesthetic rooms, comfortable bed and clean toilet and bath.|Location wise i believe Lugar Bonito is best situated in Station 1. I love that it is near the best breakfast/chill place such as sunny side cafe, smooth cafe and other restaurants.
