Hotel Gray in Boracay — Hotel in Malay

We booked the accommodation through trip.com as we usually do. No problems with the check in and it was quick. Rooms are clean, newly opened place, minimal rooms but necessary amenities are there. Water pressure is hopeless and some of the rooms don’t have the hot water facility (room 1 downstairs). Bidet shower is leaking most of the time wetting the pants and legs. The most insane part is the behavior of the staff. The most unreasonable staff we have ever come across in our entire life. During our 3 day stay here, we had to switch rooms twice because the staff asked us to. Booking site has only 3 different room types but when you even book the same room type, have to just pick up the things and move to a different room of the same type when a staff member just knocks on the door and inquire us to. When we complained and asked for a valid reason, they couldn’t give us any. At that time we thought they are harassing foreigners but there were two Filipino mom and daughter were next to our room who have already booked in advance for several days were asked to switch to a different room of the same category. I absolutely cannot and wouldn’t recommend this hotel because of this unreasonable act of the staff. It’s not easy or comfortable to pick up everything and move every single day for no reason. Hotel’s location is okay but there’s no view, walking distance to white beach. Rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. Water pressure is nonexistent. Hot water doesn’t work on room number 1. The worst staff i have ever seen. The business is not professional at all. During our 3 days stay, they made us move twice even though we booked the same type of room while lying the guests booked according to room number which is not true as anyone can see they have only 3 room types and not number wise. We were utterly shocked and complained. They didn’t care or listened to us. First we thought that they are harassing tourists but they demanded a Pilipino mom and daughter who booked the twin bedroom room for several days be moved to a similar type twin bedroom room for no reason. This act was totally unreasonable and highly unacceptable. It was a hassle for us to pick up everything and move between similar type of rooms. Hard to really relax. We don’t recommend this hotel. Great location just a stone throw away from the gorgeous white beach. Extremely clean, quiet and calm location. It’s on a small alley connecting the main road and the white beach. When we reached the hotel, the alley was filled with water but there were sand pillows placed in and we could reach without issues. Staff is nice and accommodating. Rooms are spacious and newly built. In this particular room, hot water doesn’t work so we had to boil water and have a shower so needed pointing that out. Staff can be carried away too sometimes because when i saw the one bed bedroom sold out on trip.com, whether i can book the twin room and keep our current room, staff attendant said yes but the next day we had to switch with all of our stuff to the twin room.
