Booked this place for 4 days and only stayed for 3, even though it's non refundable.
Here's a list of things they should consider resolving:
AC unit was dripping water. I didn't realize this until we checked out on 3rd day when all my luggage was wet. Didn't provide a "DO NOT DISTURB" sign. They did however knock on our door and asked if we wanted service. But while we were out they cleaned our room even though we didn't ask for it, which was nice, but make sure you leave your important things in the deposit box. No safety deposit box in the room. There was some miscommunication with the front desk when we asked while checking in thinking their safety deposit box was at front desk. When we went downstairs they said it's in the room. We went back to our room and still can't find it. Called from our room to have someone check. They end up bringing in one. The lights in the room was very dim. The light in the bathroom was out above the sink. They fixed the room but not the bathroom. We didn't bother asking again about it. This is a non smoking hotel. We ate lunch in the lobby closest to the bar. There was a sign that says "NO SMOKING" and 2 tables near us still smoked. We asked the hotel to move us to the farthest table away from them. They did nothing to stop them from smoking. Then there's our food. I didn't finish it because there was so many bones in the fish we ordered from the grill menu. Lunch experience was horrible and food wasn't that great. 6.Drying rack was right outside our room. We didn't bother using it since anyone can walk by. Wi-Fi was very slow. Hotel provided a pw for each device, which was kind of annoying. My husband and I each had our own pw. 8.Here's the worst part and the reason why my husband and I left on the 3rd day: There was no hot water in our shower for 3 days and the water pressure was very low. I'm guessing the hotel is trying to conserve energy. But this is ridiculous! I paid to stay at a comfortable and relaxing place. Even relaxing on the beach was much better than staying at this hotel. 1st night we showered in cold water that night and had to finish before letting the hotel know the 2nd day. They checked on it but still no hot water. Maybe too many people showered? Told them again. There was only lukewarm water. Better than cold I guess, but water pressure was still low. Hotel told us all the rooms were like that. 3rd day, cold water returned. Decided to leave and went to another hotel. We left whether or not we got our money back for the last night.
I hope by leaving this review that the hotel will take action to prevent others from this experience. It was horrible that we couldn't get a warm and comfortable shower for 3 days. We should have left the 2nd day. Even though we had a large and spacious room, we ended up staying at a smaller and nicer hotel with hot water, a better pool, better breakfast buffet for $50 more than this one.
In the end we were glad our last night in Boracay at another hotel was worth it. No problems with the new...
Read moreService was good, they cleaned my room every day (by request). Room service included 1 free bottle of water, instant coffee and tea. Also toiletries (soap, shampoo, tooth brush and toothpaste, body lotion, slippers). The also changed the towels and bed linen by request, as well as the pool towels. The location is really good, right on the beach, the area (zone 3) is not as crowded as zone 1, but not secluded either, I thought it was an excellent location close to everything by walking distance. The girls at reception were very friendly and staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel has 2 swimming pools and a jacuzzi (yay!).When I got to the hotel on my first day the manager said I had been upgraded to a bigger room, and it had a wee balcony, it was nice, I was very happy about it. The only thing I did not like was the noise, it was a bit too noisy for my taste, from the loud karaoke evenings that went on up until 10PM, to the banging hammering on the floor for a hotel repair every morning at 8AM, not to mention the fact that both staff and other guests seemed to be early birds and there was noise from 7AM every day. The management should take care of that, a beach resort is a place for resting and relax, it definitely should be quieter. I complained about super loud gustes one day and they took care of it, sure, but I should not have to complain every day at a hotel, it should be a given.Another thing I did not like much was the fact that you have to pay one thousand pesos as a deposit in case you break/ stain something. Upon arrival, management makes you sign a form where they tell you that you'll pay a ridiculous amount of money for stained towels and bed linen. It is incredibly overpriced, way more than it would cost to buy new towels. You spend your stay at the hotel worrying about staining things, in case they make you pay. Luckily, I was super careful and I was alright. All in all, I think that for me it was a good choice mainly because of the location and the competitive price, but if you're looking for a fancy resort, this is not your place, the bathroom had leaks and the floor was always flooded. Other than that, I would...
Read moreGreat location has such potential as a really great hotel!Cockroachs in the bathroom had to ask for repellent to be sprayed. We didn't change our pool towels for 2 days but then decided to go to the beach and then the pool so ask for a change of sandy towels for the pool. Was told OK, sir, then after a few minutes gave us card? I said I wanted towels, but the staff said sorry only once a day I asked for tbe towels back and she said no I couldn't. So I couldn't use the pool! There are no umbrellas at the pool, so no shade. Also, the 'hot' tub is cold, and only 1 jet works. If you are happy with an ok room then location is perfect but I really wish the hotel could put a bit more effort in, fix the hot tub, have a bar at the pool, have umbrellas at the pool and they would get many customers! One good thing is you can ask for your room to be cleaned any time from 9 till 5 so you don't need to worry about waiting for the maid ! We also extended our stay and was promised 3 times we could keep the same room. On the day of the extension, we were called to go down to reception and then asked to move rooms !! I explained I wouldn't have extended if I had to check out for 3 hours thry finally let me stay but didn't need the stress! Cocktails are a good deal all day, buy one, get one for 250 pesos, and breakfast is a good deal omelette toast and fruit with coffee for 259. Although there was a good 10 minutes between our meals arriving. They have a couple of inside rooms that could have been used for people to eat when it was pouring down and windy! Or even better used as a gym...
