I chose this place because of its location and recent positive reviews. Since checking in, I've had mixed feelings about Boracay Sands. On the positive side, the staff was amazing, providing excellent service and serving a decent breakfast. The beachfront location was also a highlight. However, the room, maintenance, pest control, housekeeping, and noise levels were major drawbacks. The furniture was outdated, worn, and scratched, giving the space a neglected feel. Upon entering, there was a strong smell of pesticide, yet the presence of roaches indicated that pest control was ineffective. Although the main door had a card reader, we were given a physical key, likely because the key card system wasn't functioning. Additionally, the TV stopped working, and the hotel staff had to open the ceiling to reset the main power outlet. The window-type air conditioning vent was covered in dust, showing a lack of maintenance. As for the view, it was the worst I've ever had in a hotel. Not just because it faced a building wall, but also due to the barbed wire on its fence, and accumulated dirt outside the window, making it even more unappealing. Management should be more attentive to enforcing the pool's operating hours. Although it officially closes at 10 PM, I had to call multiple times because a noisy crowd remained in the area past 10:30 PM, disturbing my sleep. To make matters worse, spotting a large cockroach from my bed only added to the discomfort, making for a terrible experience. I could go on with more with missing amenities, mosquito bites, sands on the floor after room cleaning ....😡

The review ratings is real! Thank your Manager Sir Carlo for upgrading my Parents room from Deluxe to Presidential suite with Ocean View. They are highly satisfied with their Boracay 2024 vacation. STAFF and SERVICE. Very accommodating and pays attention to details. I requested a lower level room for my parents and they have check them in on the first floor beside the pool area. They loved it. But was moved to with an ocean view on their 3rd day, it is quite an upgrade and an experience too. They were highly satisfied with their stay. ROOM and FACILITY. This is beachfront, right when you go out the front the white beach will welcome you; while you eat your breakfast and my mother sent me a video of locals dancing and entertaining you while eating. They have an indoor pool. The room amenities is at it is in Deluxe (they have not sent me a picture of it, but we did a video call tour). It is quite spacious that two beds can fit four people. The Presidential Suite was a luxury, see uploaded images. Fully equipped as the name implies; large bed, in suite living area, large bath tub has walk in shower and the balcony with ocean view is exclusively to themselves. You can throw in a night party there, it is huge to host a small-how-to-waste a night. Ow, did I mention how lovely the sunset view from there? LOCATION. It is between Station 2 and 3. Accessible to crowd, activities, food and fun. There is a wide alley beside the hotel where some of the vehicles can pass by. The view of beachfront is stunning as always.

We had a pleasant stay at Boracay Sands Hotel, with several standout features: The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of entrees, including meats, noodles, fish, vegetables, and soup. The coffee was also excellent. The service was consistently friendly, with staff greeting us warmly throughout our stay. A nice touch was the complimentary coffee they offered us while we relaxed by the pool. Our room was comfortable, with a cozy bed. We also appreciated the free water available for guests from the dispenser. However, there were a few areas for improvement: The room lighting could be improved by adding a combination of warm and cool lights, as the current setup made the room and toilet feel too dark. We noticed an unpleasant odor from the pillows. While the room was comfortable, it felt a bit outdated and could benefit from some minor renovations. Finally, the coupon monitoring system could be improved, as it felt intrusive when staff approached us during breakfast to ask for our coupons. Overall, our stay was enjoyable, and we felt that the hotel offered good value for money. With a few tweaks, Boracay Sands Hotel could easily become a top choice for travelers.

We came back to Boracay for the first time in fifteen years and had a fantastic experience. The island, itself, has gotten more developed and much too congested for our liking. There were large hotels, restaurants playing music entirely too loud and even a small mall. However, the Sands Hotel made us feel like we guests had the island all to ourselves. It is a quaint, family-friendly hotel with a stunning view, incredibly hospitable and attentive staff and all the amenities of a larger hotel. I had a different massage every day in its spa and got pampered with a poolside manicure and pedicure! I simply cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was in spite of all the hustle and bustle outside from the other hotels.||I would be remiss if I didn’t commend the new manager, Carlo. My husband and I have traveled the world and have been to countless hotels yet never have we met a manager whose sole purpose in his job is to be an experience maker. Carlo’s passion was clearly to give his guests a wonderful experience to last a lifetime. He genuinely solicited feedback from his guests to ensure their satisfaction. It was not a matter of formality, he actually acted immediately on the input whether it was a small menu change or a larger matter of service such as arranging door to door transportation back to the airport. We absolutely will stay at the Sands Hotel the next time we come to the island. Thank you, Carlo, for being an excellent...
