Booked a junior suite for 3 nights. Assigned a third (top) floor suite in a building facing the center courtyard. Room was incredibly spacious for 2, lots of room to lay out our luggage. When you enter the room, the foyer area leads to the bathroom, with a sink and separate shower room and commode. Water pressure with both the rain shower and handheld shower was good. Plenty of hot water and shampoo and shower gel were supplied. Split unit air conditioner, easily controlled and many settings by remote. Definitely needed! In room safe, refrigerator, and several bottles of daily water (don’t use the tap water here) and a two bottles of a strawberry-infused tea drink were supplied complimentary. There was also a drying rack outside for drying swimming suits etc. All in all, very nice room and glad we upgraded to a suite. Fitness center - functional - had equipment and weights, air conditioned, and a nice size and the nice thing it was rarely used. Restaurant - we arrived on a Saturday and they advertised a weekly seafood buffet. I can tell you - for an island - there was barely any seafood! There was some fried fish, some squid, shrimp, and a seafood pizza! Definitely a disappointment. The breakfast buffet was “okay” - honestly ordering off the bar menu was better - we had a pool day and we ordered a burger and some other appetizers off the bar menu…drinks were strong and the burger was delicious. But, on the whole, the food here was just “okay”. Service - in general, the hotel was responsive and the inclusive activities were fun - we went to the secret cove and snorkeled a bit a low tide…it’s sort of a private beach area - not a ton to see but it’s sheltered so a nice place to swim/snorkel. The hammocks were comfortable and we also signed up for archery one morning (which was fun). The resort also had paid activities - in reality connecting us to a local vendor…we ended up booking a private dolphin watching and snorkeling tour through the hotel, which turned out to be pretty good. One nice thing - you can tell this hotel takes the safety of their guests seriously - every time you enter/leave the hotel they would ask for your room number and last name. All in all, a great 3-night stay and if we come back to Bohol we would stay here again.

Great service. Delicious and consistent food from Saffron, the friendliest staff you will ever encounter, and value for money from the moment you check-in to the moment you check-out. They have bus transfers to and from the airport to the resort. When you’re a villa guest, you also have the added service of having your own host—ours was Prime, who was so accommodating and did everything to make things happen. You can request things from him, ask for recommendations, he’ll tour you around the resort, and in times, may also wait on you. You can course requests or concerns through him. His pleasant dimeanor and attentiveness to his host guests are really commendable. Daily buffet breakfast at the restaurant was something we immensely enjoyed. The waitstaff were so professional and it was always a great experience being around the service they provide their guests. The accommodations were superb. We stayed at a villa with our own dipping pool and requested a lot of room service. Sometimes the food would arrive after an hour and not as hot as we wanted but the taste was always spot-on. You can even order happy hour drinks and have them delivered to your villa. And they did a great job with housekeeping. Despite the surge of guests we had a grand time. We got transportation arranged to the Bee Farm, we got to dip in the secret beach, we swam in all of their pools and when we went down to Alona Beach, we still had staff who were ready to lend us towels right before you leave the premises. Towels were abundant, the place was always neat and orderly, the convenience of resort staff all around the property made it easy to ask for requests or ask questions. No quality spared no matter how many guests were checked in. During our stay there was a power outtage, and the resort held a sort of soiree with free cocktails for the guests as they did their generator maintenance one afternoon. The drinks and ambience were free of charge for the “inconvenience” we didn’t actually experience. Top notch hospitality, facilities, and service. Would come back and recommend Amorita to friends and family.

I've been to several resorts in Bohol. I wouldn't say that this place was BAD but at the same time it was not definitely my favorite. Everything was just so basic. The staff was friendly but wasn't helpful when it comes to informing its guests of basic information. It would have been better if they had given me a leaflet or something to sum up the facilities. I had a small talk with an employee on the way to my room after checking in, which was joyable of course, but she did not tell me such basic information as how to use wifi and when my checkout time is, and if my reservation includes breakfast or not and so on. The things that I usually get to know when checking in. So I had to make a few phone calls to find those out by myself. The room was pretty but the air conditioner was so old that it was difficult to adjust temperature. And even though I barely opened the door and never touched the window, there were so many mosquitoes in the room. I suspect they came from the bathroom. Dinner was above-average. Served fast, delicious. But breakfast was the main reason that makes me hesitate to come back here. If you are a vegeterian, you should be aware that there are only few options for you here. (I am not a vegeterian, I just don't enjoy meat and prefer veggies, and there were almost nothing for me to eat) I don't consider myself to have a great palate, I am just a normal person, and I don't normally criticize restaurants. I am always happy with what I am given, but even I can say the food was not good. not even close. That being said, I absolutely LOVED the pools. Both pools were fantastic and swimming on the beachside hill is definitely one of those moments you will never forget. The whole vibe was impressive thanks to the pools and all the greenery. So calm and relaxing. Everything combined, I would give them 4 out of 5. If they promise to put some more effort on breakfast, I think I would stay for one or two days on my next visit.

An amazing quiet private oasis right on Alona beach!

I was booking a birthday getaway and was searching many resorts for the perfect one. This resort exceeded my expectations.

The ambiance is just beautiful. There is lush greenery everywhere so you really feel like you're in the jungle. You can see they maintain it too. Their property is quite large so you can walk around and take a stroll without feeling claustrophobic. They have an amazing infinity pool that overlooks Alona beach and makes for amazing sunset/instagram photos. There is a gym as well. I do wish they had a dedicated activity room for the table tennis and other games though. Currently the table tennis is outdoors.

The location is great. It's about a 10 minute drive from the airport. There is a private access to Alona beach which is manned 24/7. Although this resort is located at the end of the beach, its close to many restaurants located, bars, etc on Alona beach.

The rooms were also comfortable although not all rooms are built equally. It is well equipped with conplimentary coffee, juices, and snacks. There is a small fridge, hair dryer, and drying rack. The toilet is separate from the shower and spacious. The rooms could also use more light because even with all lights turned on it was quite dim especially at night where no natural light comes into the room. I do wish the suite rooms were situated in a way where you have privacy even if window blinds are left open. Currently, some windows are able to look into other rooms. And there is some wear and tear to the rooms so proper ongoing maintenance would be great.

The resort also has many activities for the guests. There is free archery, kayaking, and yoga. On Wed and fri, they have free cocktails as well at certain hours. Amorita hosts a BEATS event where they collaborate with a local chef to create a prixe fix meal. We were lucky enough to catch the BEATS event which coincided with our stay and had a great time. Free wifi throughout the resort. They also offer free transfer to the city center near McDonalds.

Free breakfast was included with the room. The breakfast was good and had a variety of selections that changes day to day.

However, above all else, what really made this stay so memorable is the staff. They have the nicest staff here who greet you with all smiles, especially Joan. We arrived early and the staff did their best to accomodate early check-in. The first room we stayed in was dark, noisy AC, and didn't have hot water. We were switched rooms with no issues. Joan was the best! She always reached out to update us on any issues and made our problem her problem.

Sorry - I'm bad with names but there were so many other staff members at the resort especially at the Saffron, Marlo at Tomar, who all made our experience so enjoyable.

If you are looking for paradise here in Panglao, book here. Honestly, I almost didn't want to write this review since I want to keep this place all to myself. Haha! But this resort/staff truly deserves all...

We spent six unforgettable days at Amorita Resort and were absolutely delighted from the very first moment. What stood out the most was the genuine warmth and friendliness of the entire staff – they not only remembered our names but also our preferences. Every team member greeted us with sincere joy – not because they had to, but because they wanted to.

Some reviews mentioned theft, which we absolutely cannot confirm. We left jewelry, expensive cameras, an iPad with AirPods, passports, and cash openly in the room – and nothing ever went missing. A huge compliment to the housekeeping team!

Another highlight was the service by the pool. Guests regularly received free fresh water, which was very much appreciated in the heat. On top of that, staff would come around with complimentary treats like ice cream or drinks – even though this is not an all-inclusive hotel, we truly felt generously cared for. Ladies were often given a fresh flower for their hair, which was a sweet and thoughtful touch.

The food was excellent – always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The BBQ buffet was fairly priced at 900 pesos, much cheaper than what other resorts charged for similar offerings. The breakfast is included, with a wide variety and top quality.

As smokers, we appreciated that the resort was smoker-friendly, with several thoughtfully placed smoking areas and even the option to smoke on the balcony, which made the stay much more relaxing without disturbing other guests.

The rooms are spacious, modern, and beautifully designed. The bed is incredibly comfortable – it’s the kind you lie down on and fall asleep instantly.

The resort features two beautiful and spacious pools, each with a dedicated kids’ area, and has direct access to a very clean and crystal-clear beach. Even at night, you can leave the resort without worrying about safety or crime, which made the stay even more pleasant.

The only slightly negative experience was that we saw a box jellyfish in the ocean and immediately left the water. However, the lifeguard reacted quickly and responsibly, getting other guests out of the water as well. Of course, the hotel cannot control which animals are in the ocean – it’s their natural habitat – so we don’t see this as a true downside. The beach itself was pristine and the water incredibly clear.

Amorita offers not only a beautiful setting and great facilities, but more importantly, what truly defines luxury: people who do their jobs with heart and joy.

We regret not staying longer – but we will...

I stayed at Amorita Resort last year and was deeply touched by the warmth and genuine kindness of the staff—a true reflection of the unique hospitality of the Philippines. I have always loved this country, not only for its beauty but also for the sincerity and purity of its people. That is why I decided to return this year, and instead of moving between different accommodations, I chose to spend all six nights and seven days at Amorita.||From the very beginning, Mr. Romell greeted me with his big, welcoming smile. I immediately remembered him from my previous visit, and it was such a joy to see that he was still here. On the way to the resort, he recommended wonderful local restaurants, which turned out to be true hidden gems. Throughout my stay, and even until the very moment we left, he remained incredibly kind and attentive. Staff members like Mr. Romell are what make Amorita truly shine, and I sincerely hope to see him again on my next visit.||Breakfast at Saffron was another highlight of my stay. Every morning, our family was warmly welcomed by Mr. Hanzel and Ms. Jhen, who created such a cheerful and uplifting start to the day. Mr. Hanzel had been just as friendly last year, and it was wonderful to see him again. The atmosphere they create in the mornings is bright, happy, and filled with genuine warmth. The food, coffee, and overall ambiance were peaceful, joyful and perfect. I am truly grateful to them and look forward to meeting them again. Please stay at Amorita forever—thank you so much!||The pool area was equally special—calm, spacious, and peaceful, with breathtaking views of the beach. Swimming while gazing at such scenery felt like pure paradise. And I must say, the green mango shake by the pool is absolutely the best I’ve ever had! It quickly became my favorite afternoon treat.||At the reception, Ms. Joan kindly remembered my family and greeted us every time with her beautiful smile. Her thoughtfulness made us feel right at home, and I believe that staff members like her are the true treasures of Amorita.||The room itself was very comfortable, with a bed that allowed me to sleep deeply and peacefully. Everything was kept in excellent condition, and whenever I needed anything, the staff responded promptly and graciously.||If you are looking for a peaceful, healing stay wrapped in the unique warmth and charm that only the Filipino people can offer, Amorita Resort is the perfect choice. This is more than just a resort—it is an experience filled with kindness, sincerity, and...
