From the moment we arrived at Bohol, our experience at Henann Premier Coast Resort exceeded all expectations. We had a transportation service pre-arranged from the airport to the hotel, and we were greeted right at the airport door on time. The staff assisted with our luggage and offered cold bottled water, which was a nice touch after our flight. Check-in was smooth and quick, and the front desk agent had such a welcoming aura that made us feel at ease immediately.||After check-in, we went straight to the beach to witness the stunning sunset. While the sunset is visible from the hotel, it’s located at the far end of the beach. But the real showstopper for us was the sunrise—it's right in front of the hotel, and I made sure to wake up early to catch it. It was absolutely worth it.||The hotel’s pool areas are fantastic, each one thoughtfully designed. Henann is known for its pools connected to the rooms, which we thoroughly enjoyed. There’s also the infinity pool, the sky pool (perfect for a quiet swim or laps), and the sunken pool bar, which is a great spot to unwind with a drink. Every pool offered a unique experience, and we loved how relaxing it was to switch between them. We enjoyed the day beds by the water, which came with small headrest pillows—a thoughtful touch that made lounging by the water even more comfortable. One of my favorite features was the day beds by the edge of the pool. They are strategically placed so you can enjoy the stunning views without anyone in front of you. It really creates a peaceful, private atmosphere to just relax and take in the surroundings. There’s also a small pool beside the day beds where you can turn on the bubbles with a hand-sensor, adding an extra element of relaxation. It’s a lovely touch that makes lounging there even more enjoyable. Whether lounging by the water or soaking up the view, these day beds provided the perfect space to unwind without distractions, and I loved that extra touch of privacy.||I’m very particular about the service, and I was really impressed by how friendly and attentive the staff were throughout our stay. Every person we encountered—whether at the pool, the restaurant, or just passing by—greeted us with a smile and a warm hello. It's the little things like that that make such a difference, and Henann’s team certainly made us feel welcome and cared for.||We tried the Brazo de Mercedes at the Sky bar, and it was such a delicious surprise! What made it unique was the addition of Kalamay inside and the famous Peanut Kisses from Bohol, a perfect way to experience local flavors in a dessert.||Another feature I really appreciated was the bathroom design. The tub and shower are separate, but in the same cubicle, which meant that even if water splashed outside the tub, it stayed within the shower area, keeping the bathroom floor dry—something I truly appreciated as I dislike wet bathroom floors. The bath foam they provided was also fantastic! Unlike some hotels where the foam doesn’t last, Henann’s bath foam was so bubbly and luxurious.||Breakfast has a wide selection of options. I particularly enjoyed the different types of Boursin, the 4-cheese pesto omelette, and various quiches. They also had ready glasses of ice, which might sound simple, but it’s something I really appreciated. I hate having to dig ice out of a bucket that’s already melted or empty, and this thoughtful touch helped ensure cleanliness and hygiene, as guests aren’t touching the ice with their hands.||I’d also like to commend Andy, who manages the breakfast service at La Costa. During busy mornings, he handled his team beautifully, ensuring everything ran smoothly. On our second day, Andy even remembered our drink orders and had them served without us needing to ask. That kind of attention to detail was truly impressive.||We also had dinner at the Sky Bar, and the food was exceptional. We started with the Manchego & Serrano platter, which came with a delicious tomato jam, and the Salmon Fish Steak A La Pobre, which was cooked to perfection. The Paella Kare-Kare was another standout dish—while the Kare-Kare itself was tasty, the Paella twist on it was a unique and delicious interpretation.||Kate, who took care of us during dinner, provided outstanding service. She anticipated our needs and was so attentive, making our meal even more enjoyable.||In conclusion, Henann Premier Coast Resort truly lived up to its reputation. The stunning location, thoughtful amenities, exceptional service, and memorable dining experiences made for an unforgettable stay. We can’t wait to return and will definitely recommend this resort to...
Read moreWe stayed here for 3 nights this week. The hotel is definitely not yet ready for “prime time” and should not have accepted guests yet:
The BAD -
Almost non-existent dining options - There is only one restaurant on-site and it operates only from 6 AM to 10 AM so after that you’re on your own. You cannot order room service. You can only order drinks at the skydeck pool bar because it will take more than an hour to get food cooked/delivered from the nearest full service restaurant at the next Henann resort.
Poor transport services - There are 3 Henann resorts that are adjacent to each other but there are no easy walking paths to access the others. You will either walk on the beach or walk on the road. Only the Henann Alona Beach has full service dining. Henann Premier Coast refused to provide free transportation services to Henann Alona Beach - in order to use their service vehicles, we were supposed to pay a fee of P1,300. There is also a fee to be picked up/driven to the airport.
Spiders in our room - there was one huge spider and multiple tiny ones in the ceiling. We noticed them on check out day. I still get the jeebies when I think that they were in our room the whole time we were there.
Noise - (a) construction was still ongoing and during the day time, it felt like the construction was right on top of our room, lots of banging and drilling sounds (b) the walls are not sound-proof, you can hear the people talking at the adjacent rooms and all the people talking when they walk at the hallways.
Zero parking facilities - we wanted to rent a car but there was no parking at the hotel. Hotel is at the end of a very small and dimly/lit road.
Beach not properly maintained - while thr view was exceptional, there were lots of rocks on the beach and sea floor, you will need to wear some footwear to even get into the water because it wasn’t comfortable walking on the rocks. We also found lots of broken glass in the sand.
The only GOOD - the staff are excellent. They were courteous, professional, respectful, and pleasant - you always feel taken cared of. Room was cleaned, towels replaced and toiletries replenished on a daily basis. Kudos to your staff, we...
Read moreEverytime I come to the Philippines particularly Bohol (once a year), I would book a few nights at different Panglao Hotels for some quality time. Out of all the hotels I have been to in Panglao, this one was the worst.
Road to the hotel is not the best. Very tight entrance. Tight parking space. Their parking regulations is such a pain! You have to get a parking receipt from the parking personnel EVERYTIME you park in the underground parkade, make sure you keep the receipt so you can have it validated at the front desk EVERYTIME you leave the parkade to go somewhere. If you lose your flimsy parking receipt, parking personnel won't let you leave the parkade.
Small reception area that only can accommodate a few guests at a time. Lineup was long. Reception personnel was slow in checking guests in compared to other Hennan hotels nearby (Tawala and Alona).
I was lounging at the beach and it was hot. Asked staff if I could have some service water at their dining area (La Costa). They told me they don't have service water and that they only have bottled water (65 php) which you have to pay for. Other hotels would happily give you clean service water by the beach whenever you ask for it.
No help from the parkade security upon parking. They watched us come in from the entrance and only offered guidance upon realizing our struggle due to the tight space. Also, only one way to enter and exit the parkade plus the path to the parkade is too tight for 2 vehicles. You have to be wary of incoming and outgoing vehicles before driving in and out of the parkade.
No airconditioning at La Costa. Too hot to eat breakfast in the morning. Luckily, we were able to secure a table near the open door towards the beach but it didn't suffice. There were ceiling fans and Iwatas scattered around La Costa but still wasn't enough.
Overall, I was really disappointed given that this was the newest resort when I went for my vacation. My brother-in-law also booked a family room for his parents and brothers and he was equally as disappointed as me. We both said "never again" at the same time as soon as we got in the car after...
